Erika Kirk is facing her first Valentine's Day without her late husband, Charlie Kirk, sharing a heartfelt tribute that recalls the love letters he wrote before his untimely death.

On Feb. 14, the Turning Point USA CEO took to her Instagram page to commemorate Charlie Kirk with a lengthy, emotional tribute, accompanied by the handwritten letter the conservative firebrand had given to her.

Erika Kirk wrote in her caption:

"What I would give for one more love letter… They had such a deep reverence about them. You’d intentionally set aside the noise of the world and hand me words that felt sacred filled with a depth of love both of us could never quite articulate."

She continued, lamenting the shattered dreams of growing old together,

"I read it all even slower now. And as I read your words, the weight on my heart reminds me of a reality that we were never promised gray hair and rocking chairs, even though we assumed it was guaranteed. But my goodness, do I love telling the babies about the fullness of our covenant that left a mark on my soul. My favorite love story."

As someone who had lost a loved one, Erika Kirk urged the others, especially married couples, to cherish their moments with their partners.

"Honor the Sabbath this weekend with your loved ones. And if you're married, take a minute to sit down and write to them a love letter. One that shows you see them, you love them, you honor them, and you want to continue to be better for them. A letter like this might seem trivial, but you just never know the course life will take, if the Lord calls you home, even in your absence, as they reflect on your words, your love is still serving them."

She concluded her tribute with one final message to her late husband:

"I love you Charlie baby, you will always be my Valentine."

Erika Kirk mourned the loss of husband Chalie Kirk

Charlie and Erika Kirk had been together since 2019 and married for four years. They welcomed a daughter in 2022 and a son in 2024.

Their marriage was cut short after the right-wing political activist was fatally shot on Sept. 10, 2025, while he was reportedly speaking in front of about 3,000 students at Utah Valley University.

Days after Charlie Kirk's assassination, Erika broke her silence through Fox News on Sept. 13, expressing her grief and honoring the TPUSA founder's legacy.

"My husband laid down his life for me, for our nation, for our children. He showed the ultimate and true covenantal love. I will never ever have the words to describe the loss that I feel in my heart. I honestly have no idea what any of this means, I know that God does, but I don't."
