Noah Kahan’s highly-anticipated documentary is coming soon on Netflix- here’s what we know so far

Busyheads assemble! Netflix has announced Noah Kahan's highly anticipated documentary, which will hit your screens later this year. The upcoming project will be directed by Santa Camp fame director Nick Sweeney.

Noah Kahan is an American singer-songwriter who rose to fame after his folk ballad 'Stick Season' went viral on TikTok and social media in 2022, catapulting him to Global fame and earning him a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist in 2023.

The upcoming documentary will catch Kahan on an 'emotional homecoming,' where he will bare his personal struggles with mental health, self-discovery and life after Global fame, in front of his loyal fanbase.

According to Netflix Tudum, the official synopsis reads as follows:

''The film [coming to Netflix this year] finds Kahan at a crossroads in the wake of the breakout success of Stick Season. After a whirlwind year of sold-out tours and unprecedented acclaim, he returns to his Vermont roots and family. Buoyed by his uncanny wit, he searches for a sense of home and creative inspiration as he confronts the deeply personal struggles that have left him out of sync with himself.''

Netflix is set to release yet another documentary for all music lovers. Nick Sweeney has teamed up with the streaming juggernaut to bring the extraordinary life of Noah Kahan to life. While Netflix is yet to announce a release date for the project, the documentary could hit your screen sometime in the latter half of this year.

In an interview with Netflix Tudum, Sweeney described the filming process for Noah Kahan's upcoming documentary as:

“When we started filming, I had no idea what we’d capture, only that Noah was determined to be honest about everything, especially the messy bits.''

He added:

''He was in a strange in-between moment, caught in the collision between almost surreal fame and a quieter inner world he’d tried to keep offstage. What we captured over the course of a year surprised me — moments that were thrilling, terrifying, [and] hilarious, often all at once. I’m so excited to partner with Netflix to invite viewers worldwide into Noah Kahan’s head as his world shifts beneath his feet.”

As mentioned above, the documentary will follow the Grammy-nominated artist at a crossroads, after the success of his Stick Season. While the world witnessed Kahan's rise to fame after the release of his third album, the film will bring his personal life and struggles into focus, as the artist searches for his roots and grapples with the consequences of fame.

In addition to the upcoming documentary, Noah Kahan surprised Busyheads with the music video for his latest single, The Great Divide, which also happens to be the title of his fourth studio album. The highly anticipated album, set to release on April 24, was announced earlier this year in an Instagram post.

Taking inspiration from Lady Gaga's Grammy Award-winning “Abracadabra”, Noah Kahan casually dropped the music video for The Great Divide during a commercial break for the 2026 Grammy Awards telecast. That's not all, as the folk-pop singer also announced his next tour, which will hit the road in Summer 2026. The artist shared that songwriting has always been an integral part of his personal life and his upcoming studio album recounts his journey as an artist and his rise to global fame.
