A man living in Sacramento was arrested in Mississippi for sending a social media text that threatened to kill a judge connected to the case of Nolan Wells. The 18-year-old college student disappeared on July 4 from a boat while travelling to Mississippi's Horn Island with his three friends. Two days later, his body was found by a National Park Service ranger on a nearby island.A chancery judge, Ashlee Cole, shared screenshots of violent threats she received from an anonymous account named “yaeyae962". Her son was also present that day with Nolan Wells. After court trials, Joseph Alfredo Vasquez Dumarce was put in custody because of carrying out interstate transmission of threatening text messages.The offence carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, and as much as three years of supervised release. Investigators also matched the account with a date of birth, phone number, and home addresses connected to Dumarce.The charging document also pointed to one of the many messages Dumarce sent to Cole. It included threats that Cole had already mentioned earlier, and some of those messages carried pictures of her children.Here's a glimpse of the threat message:"There will be a package coming to your guys' office in the next few days. It’s gonna blow you away when you see it. LoL. Probably best to have the boys there to see as well. Blood. So much blood everywhere. Hard to clean. Especially from a boat. But yours will be quick I promise."The text continues,"I got all your info. Not even the FBI can stop this. Once that package is opened, the timer will start. And then you have maybe 10 seconds or less to ask God for forgiveness."Federal officials said these direct messages were delivered to Cole’s Facebook account shortly after the disappearance and later death of Nolan Wells. Cole’s stepson, Warren Hudson, was part of the group of friends who spent July 4 with Wells on Horn Island.In 2019, Dumarce was taken into custody by the Sacramento Police Department after being accused of exposing himself and then trying to kidnap a 13‑year‑old girl outside a Meadowview elementary school.According to the records, he was convicted of molesting a child under 18.
