Office Romance ending explained: A workplace romance puts Jackie and Daniel in a difficult position at AirCruz

Netflix's latest movie, Office Romance, was released on June 5. Starring Jennifer Lopez as Jackie Cruz and Brett Goldstein as Daniel Blanchflower, the rom-com movie is directed by Ol Parker, famous for Now Is Good, Ticket to Paradise, and A Boy Called Christmas.

Office Romance revolves around Jackie Cruz, the CEO of AirCruz, and the company's lawyer, Daniel Blanchflower. Despite having an office rule that doesn't allow office relationships, they fall for each other, keep their relationship private, and ultimately break up. However, after being pressured by Falcon Airlines, Jackie decides to resign, and to save Jackie's job and the company, Daniel admits to their relationship.

Office Romance recap: Daniel and Jackie fall for each other

Daniel meets Jackie for the first time when he is asked to take over an important lawsuit against Falcon Airlines for the company, AirCruz. This happens after their previous legal counsel, Peter Vance, suddenly chokes on a breakfast burrito.

However, Daniel gets extremely nervous and awkward around Jackie but requests her to trust him with the process. Eventually, Jackie gets impressed by him and decides to give him more responsibility at work.

The two develop feelings for each other, and while they try to hide it, they grow closer at work. However, Sydney figures out that they are involved with each other and advises Jackie to maintain a distance if she doesn't want to lose her job.

They go on a business trip to the Dominican Republic, which officially starts their relationship as they drink, dance together, and share the same bed. Even after returning from the trip, the two keep their relationship a secret while spending time with each other.

After being suspicious for some time, Jackie comes to know that Daniel has a sister whom he is visiting in prison. While Daniel didn't like the fact that Jackie followed him, Jackie, on the other hand, feels that Daniel hid such an important thing from her. Thanks to the extra pressure from the work, the two decide that it's better to break up.

While Jackie previously denied having a relationship with Daniel, Sydney figures out that the two have feelings for each other after she goes into labor in the AirCruz headquarters, and Daniel and Jackie try to help. She gives birth to a healthy baby.

On top of that, Falcon Airlines finds out that Daniel and Jackie have been secretly dating. During a meeting with Bill, he shows her the photos taken from their business trip, where Jackie and Daniel are seen kissing each other. Because of the pressure and risk of facing consequences, she decides to resign from the company.

Do Jackie and Daniel end up together?

Just when Jackie was about to step down from her role in the conference, Daniel shows up and reveals that he and Jackie slept together. He makes it clear that now everyone knows the truth and Falcon Airlines can't take advantage of the pictures. He adds that she and he both violated the company's zero-tolerance policy on interoffice relationships. And though they tried not to fall and keep everything professional, they failed in the end.

Jackie's father also stands up and supports her and praises her leadership, adding that if she goes, he will also go.

Jackie decides to withdraw from her resignation and stay in the office, taking control of AirCruz. Additionally, she also gets back together with Daniel. In the post-credit scene of Office Romance, viewers see the couple planning their marriage.
