After hearing testimony from a dozen women during the five-week trial, all of whom accused them of drugging and r****g, U.S. District Judge Valerie E. Caproni sentenced the men to three decades in prison each, which was less than the life sentences the prosecution sought. The federal prosecutors claimed there were at least 70 victims of the Alexander Brothers.“Your conduct was monstrous, shameful, and degenerate… You all are sadistic, misogynistic, s****l predators… Your crimes wreaked havoc on their lives. It has caused long-lasting damage to them. Many have significant problems trusting people,” Judge Caproni told the Alexander Brothers while comparing them to Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.The federal judge added:“Not just insensitive. It was wrong. Here the wrong was that you drugged, r***d and trafficked women, not that you were rude. Until each defendant comes to terms with what he did, he poses a risk.”The Alexander Brothers have also been asked to pay $300,000 in fines each. Oren was additionally ordered to pay $50,000 for recording a s*x tape of a minor without consent.Following their sentencing, the defendants stared blankly, according to The Associated Press. Meanwhile, the plaintiffs wept sitting inside the Manhattan courtroom gallery.The Alexander Brothers pleaded not guilty to all the s*x crimes, but apologized for their womanizing lifestyle during youth. However, they claimed to have mended their ways after becoming fathers and husbands.“I want to set the record straight: my brothers and I have never drugged and r***d anyone. Have never trafficked anyone for s*x. Have never conspired to harm anyone,” Oren said on Tuesday.Alon echoed similar sentiments. He told the judge:“There’s one thing I need to tell you and I want to be absolutely clear – I have never, not once in my life, drugged a woman or had s*x with a woman knowing they had been secretly drugged. I’m not a perfect man, but I’m innocent of these charges. I’m not telling you I became a flawless person; I’m telling you I changed. It happened years before my arrest. I wish I had shown more maturity and been more thoughtful.”Alon Alexander continued to say while wiping his tears and lamenting a future without his daughters:“I hope Your Honor can understand how difficult it is to stand here, facing the possibility of spending the rest of my life in prison, trying to find words to express genuine regret without confessing something I did not do. I’m asking you to please consider my whole life, my family and the possibility of my future beyond this case. Please have mercy on me, Your Honor.”Tal claimed that he was “greatly ashamed” of the “bad path” he was on before he met his wife.“I was partying too much and sleeping with too many women during those years until I found the most beautiful inside and out perfect woman, the one I wanted to be the mother of my kids and my soulmate for life,” the oldest of the three Alexander Brothers stated.According to CNN, Tal and Alon were convicted of s*x trafficking a minor. Oren and Alon were also convicted of s*x abuse. Oren, alone, was found guilty of s****l exploitation of an underage girl.
