"Our family is the crown jewel": Tom Pelphrey gives pregnant Kaley Cuoco a shout-out as she weeps during his Emmy acceptance speech

Tom Pelphrey gave a shoutout to his pregnant fiancée, Kaley Cuoco, during his acceptance speech at the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards on September 14, 2026.

The Mank actor won the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama for portraying Robbie Prendergast in the HBO crime drama series Task. In his acceptance speech, he gave a shoutout to his fiancée, who was in the audience and appeared visibly emotional. Dedicating his award to her, Tom Pelphrey said:

“To my favorite actor in this room, my love, my best friend, my partner, the very pregnant Kaley Cuoco. I love you more than anything, and our family is the crown jewel of my life.”

He then addressed his 3-year-old daughter and the baby girl they are expecting:

“Matilda, daddy loves you. Baby girl in that belly, daddy loves you. Thank you, God bless.”

The couple announced in June that they are expecting their second child, a girl, after welcoming Matilda in March 2023. They have been engaged since 2024.

Tom Pelphrey has made headlines after he gave a shoutout to his pregnant fiancée Kaley Cuoco during his Emmy acceptance speech on September 14.

Pelphrey, 44, shared his love for Cuoco and his family, describing her as his “best friend” and his family as the “crown jewel of my life” which made The Big Bang Theory star teary-eyed. He also expressed his gratitude to God for his life and sobriety, as well as family and friends and co-stars, including Mark Ruffalo:

“I thank God for my life and my sobriety. I thank my family, my friends for all your love and support all these years, from Emmys to black box theaters and everything in between.”

Describing Mark Ruffalo as a “beautiful” person, Tom Pelphrey said:

“Thank you for this incredible role and this opportunity and your friendship. I’m so proud to be your friend.”

Tom Pelphrey and his partner announced in June 2026 that they are expecting their second child, a girl. Cuoco took to Instagram to share the news with her followers, noting that it has been a bit more challenging than her first pregnancy. She shared a couple of photos from different stages of her pregnancy along with her daughter and fiancé. The caption read:

“completing our little family , what a dream come true !This second time around journey has been a little windier in many ways , but wow we are so grateful for this moment!! Little sissy on the way!!! @tommypelphrey girl dad for life and yes, the last pic is our dainty princess giving us the middle finger!”

The couple has been together since 2022. According to a report in TV Insider, their shared manager, Andrea Pett-Joseph, set them up, and they met at the premiere of the crime drama series Ozark. In the series, Pelphrey starred as Ben Davis, the bipolar brother of Wendy Byrde.

Recalling their first meeting, Cuoco told USA Today that it was “love at first sight” for them. She said:

“I was standing with Andrea and Tom walked in, and I heard his voice, and I turned around, and it was like my life was over, or just starting. It hit me. It was love at first sight. We were immediately connected. I do feel like I've known him my whole life, but I wasn't ready for him. We're ready to build a life together.”

The pair made their relationship official on Instagram on May 3, 2022, sharing photos from their mountain getaway. Cuoco captioned her post "Life lately" with photos including a Polaroid and a selfie of Pelphrey kissing her cheek. Pelphrey shared a similar post with a heartfelt caption.

They made their first public appearance a few weeks later at Greg Berlanti's Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony on May 23, 2022. And in September, they made their debut as a couple at the 2022 Emmys. In October, they announced that they were expecting a child. They named her Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey.

Cuoco was previously married to equestrian Karl Cook from 2018 to 2021 and tennis player Ryan Sweeting from 2013 to 2016. Tom Pelphrey has never been married.
