Gervonta Davis is in police custody after he was located by U.S. Marshals. The news was confirmed by TMZ.

However, the police have not released the complete information on how they located him, keeping the information private as of now. This comes after an incident was reported last October involving a woman at a club in Miami Gardens.

The incident also led the WBA to remove Gervonta Davis from active title status and place him on Champion in Recess status.

As of now, Davis's spokesperson has not released any statement on his recent arrest.

What are the charges filed against Gervonta Davis?

Last October, a woman who said she was in a relationship with Davis claimed that he harmed her. In a report statement reported by USA Today, Artagus Lane, the manager of the club, wrote:

"(The woman) could be seen via camera footage begging for Mr. Davis to stop… Once by the stairway you can see Mr. Davis grabbing (the woman) and pushing her by the head, and grabbing her hair in an aggressive manner (shaking it and pulling it back and forth), down the first flight of stairs."

In another reported statement, he said:

"(The woman) was a bit shaking (sic) up and crying from the incident while explaining. (The woman) stated that she and Mr. Davis are acquaintances who has had issues similar to this at another club recently."

She didn't take any medical care at that time. Additionally, Davis denied releasing a statement on the same, with his spokesperson stating that he plans to talk about it in his upcoming documentary.

Later, multiple charges were filed against Gervonta Davis, which included battery, false imprisonment, aggravated battery, emotional harm, and kidnapping.

Gervonta Davis has been inactive on social media since last year, with his last post uploaded in June.

Two weeks ago, police released an arrest warrant for him. Speaking of it, the executive officer of the Miami Gardens Police Department, Emmanuel Jeanty, said in a reported statement by ESPN:

"At this time, the Miami Gardens Police Department is actively working with the United States Marshal's fugitive task force to locate and apprehend Mr. Davis."
