Former child actress Raquel Lee has filed a lawsuit against Disney for negligence over her alleged repeated r*pe and s*xual assault by an unidentified Disney worker during the production of its 2001 sci-fi comedy TV film The Poof Point.Raquel Lee, who was 14 when she starred as Marie Curie Ballard in Disney's The Poof Point, claimed that she was s*xually assaulted by a ''middle-aged male employee'' involved in the production of the project. Lee's court filing claims that the accused not only groomed & assaulted her on multiple occasions but also whispered s*xually explicit comments & jokes in her ear on set, which could be heard by the sound technicians. The Poof Point actress also claims that the unidentified accused whispered s*xually explicit comments about her body, inappropriate jokes and harassing comments into her ear on set. As former government prosecutors, our message to the entertainment industry is simple: This conduct is inexcusable, and those involved — directly or indirectly — must be held accountable.”Lee's further claims also reveal how Disney executives attacked her changed behaviour and declining professional performance (following the incident), accusing her of being out of control and even ''threatened to, and did, cancel” her role in a project.After The Poof Point, Raquel Lee went on to recur as a voiceover artist (as Nubia Gross) in Disney's 2001 animated sitcom The Proud Family, the 2005 movie The Proud Family Movie and its 2022 sequel The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder. She also participated in Investigation Discovery's 2025 five-part docu-series titled Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.
