Investigative journalist Ross Coulthart has major concerns about the seventh batch of UFO files that were released by the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters on October 23. The latest drop consists of 28 PDF files of declassified data and details about "unidentified craft" of a "black triangular shape", an alleged skinwalker sighting on a Utah ranch and federal testimonies on UAPs.

The key highlight from the latest batch of UFO files was listed in a document detailing a silent, matte-black triangular craft or Unidentified Anomalous Phenomenon (UAP), seen near a classified U.S. national security site.

Speaking with NewsNation, Ross Coulthart raised important questions about the Pentagon's latest files, calling the mysterious black craft a 'threat':

“I think we’re being played...It is a potential threat. These black triangles have been seen by witnesses for many, many years, right back to the 1940s.”

Ross Coulthart described an opportunity for President Donald Trump to become 'probably the first president in history' to be fully open:

“In the run-up to the midterms, before potentially he may lose power in the House, if not the Senate, there’s an opportunity here for the president, probably the first president in history, to be fully open about what the government, the Pentagon, the intelligence community know about the phenomenon."

The investigative journalist maintained that sources claim higher-resolution images and videos exist, which were not released in the PDF files. Coulthart proposed that the Pentagon is likely withholding information about the black triangular craft:

"What we want is what the government really knows about this phenomenon, and I know the Pentagon knows the answer to that already.”

According to the recently released UFO files, federal agents and senior military/intelligence observers reported seeing a black triangular craft with a wingspan of roughly 9 to 15 feet and a thickness of 1 to 2 feet. The object has raised serious security concerns, leaving many to question whether it belongs to foreign adversaries, classified domestic programs or unverified sources.

Ross Coulthart's questions about the latest UFO files have even connected the mysterious black craft sightings to Walter Haut's sealed testimony, before he died in 2005. The public information officer (PIO) for the 509th Atomic Bomb Group at the Roswell Army Air Field issued a press release in July 1947, detailing the military's recovery of a "flying disc" from a ranch near Roswell. While the military later framed the recovery as a downed weather balloon, Haut re-iterated the initial recovery in an affidavit that was released after he died in 2005 and that is garnering attention after the latest UFO files.

Capping his concerns, Ross Coulthart connected the recent sightings in the UFO files to the 1947 incident in New Mexico, showing belief in Haut's testimony:

“Walter Haut went to a lot of effort to make sure that his account was published posthumously. I find his account extremely credible because it corroborates what a lot of other Roswell witnesses have said. I think he’s for real.”

Following Walter Haut's death, his testimony was published in the 2007 book Witness to Roswell.
