Rumor has it that the new Avengers: Doomsday trailer could drop next month

Avengers: Doomsday is shaping up as one of the most anticipated and hyped projects of 2026. As the movie is less than two months away from its official release, social media is filled with posts, leaks, and rumors about the movie. The latest rumor is about the third trailer. As of now, two trailers have been released, and we are waiting for another.

The rumor suggests that the third trailer will drop online some time next month. If that is indeed the case, the trailer release would make sense, given that Avengers: Doomsday is set to release this December. Therefore, it would be prudent for Marvel to release the third and probably the final trailer this November.

A fan account on X (formerly Twitter) posted that the third Doomsday trailer could drop online between November 10, 2026, and November 25, 2026. It should be noted that this is just a rumor, and we will probably never get any confirmation about it any time soon. Marvel will likely confirm the trailer's release only a day or two before the release.

Marvel will not confirm the trailer's release any time before that because it keeps Avengers: Doomsday in conversation. Much of the movie's anticipation arises from the fact that, despite the countless leaks and rumors, we hardly know anything about the upcoming Avengers movie. Withholding even small details like a new poster and trailer release date only keeps fans excited for it.

What has the official marketing material given away?

The marketing material of the movie has confirmed that incursions will play a key role in the next Avengers movie. For those who don't know, the incursion plotline was introduced in the MCU through Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Earth-838 Mister Fantastic (John Krasinski) describes an incursion as follows in Multiverse of Madness:

"An Incursion occurs when the boundary between two universes erodes and they collide, destroying one or both entirely."

A recently released international poster even gives us a glimpse of what an incursion looks like.

We can see two Earths clashing into each other right below the Korean title. This small glimpse hints at what's at stake for the MCU in Doomsday. Apart from the trailers, we know that Victor von Doom has personal reasons for his villainy. The trailer that was released at D23 Expo confirmed that Doom lost everyone he loved for mysterious reasons.

Leaks have suggested that Doom lost his family to an incursion caused by the moral center of the MCU during the Infinity Saga: Steve Rogers. However, the trailers have hinted that Doom wants to rewrite reality to get back what he lost.

What do we know about Avengers: Doomsday?

We know that, much like Avengers: Infinity War, Doomsday will end with a cliffhanger leading into the concluding chapter of the Multiverse Saga, Avengers: Secret Wars. One of the mid-credit scenes of Avengers Endgame: Encore does set up the incursion plotline as Mobius, O.B., and Casey observe the multiverse collapsing on the TVA screens.

Apart from that, the last scene of Endgame (before the credits) is Loki interrupting Steve and Peggy's dance. Thus, we can expect Doomsday to kick off right after Loki enters the Rogers' residence. Beyond that, we have to wait until December to know what happens in the movie.
