The 'after November 5' prediction of the English comedian and media personality Russell Brand resurfaced online after Donald Trump's party lost to the Democrats in the midterm elections. The comedian made the prophecy in October 2024 from his X profile that the world would never be the same after November 5 and indicated that major changes and far-reaching developments were about to reshape the future. He said,

"The world is never going to be the same after November 5th."

The post referred to the upcoming U.S. presidential election. Russell, who had increasingly embraced right-wing views and promoted conspiracy-related claims, publicly voiced his support for Donald Trump before voters went to the polls.

According to Daily Star, the post went viral after social media users pointed out the date matched the day Russell was found guilty of r*pe and s*xual assault two years later and was told he could face a long prison sentence.

Russell Brand's ‘after November 5th’ X post went viral after the Democrats swept away the Republicans in the November midterm elections. On October 21, 2024, the comedian posted that the world would undergo such major changes after November 5 that nothing would ever feel the same again. He stated,

"The world is never going to be the same after November 5th."

The Independent revealed that in 2011 Trump said he liked the British comedian. Russell may have posted two years ago in the hope that if the tables turned, he would get the outcome he wanted from the election, especially after he had publicly backed Trump and had increasingly aligned himself with right-wing political views.

Russell's prediction has resurfaced after his conviction for r*pe and s*xual assault. Most people pointed to its November 5 reference because the verdict was delivered on the same date. The Associated Press mentioned that Russell Brand was convicted on Thursday of r*pe and s*xual assault linked to allegations that dated back more than two decades. Judge Joel Bennathan said Russell would receive a prison sentence when he is sentenced on November 9, 2026. Reports revealed that the comedian was taken into custody.

Entertainment Daily reported that Russell was found guilty of one count of r*pe and three counts of s*xual assault. The case involved six women and centred on alleged incidents that took place between 1999 and 2009. Throughout the proceedings, Russell denied all the allegations against him.

The Forgetting Sarah Marshall actor had been reportedly warned that he could face a lengthy prison sentence. Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy praised the resilience, courage, and determination of the women who came forward to fight the case. Andy added that no level of fame or influence had placed anyone above the law.
