In the Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailers, we see that this unnamed villain can make people do and say whatever they want. This is a lot like the powers the X-men superhero Jean Grey has. Jean Grey possesses the powers of powerful telepathy, telekinesis, and god-like cosmic manipulation when bonded with the Phoenix Force. These similarities don't seem random and, strongly point towards Sink playing Jean Grey. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Sadie Sink was asked about her Spider-Man: Brand New Day character, and"physicality of being in these movies."Sink did not say much in response. She just said,"We'll see. Maybe so, maybe not."If Sink is indeed playing Jean Grey, she wouldn't have to do a lot of actions since most of the character's powers are psychological. Jean Grey can read minds, project thoughts, control or erase memories, stun opponents, and build psychic shields. She can also move or levitate objects with her mind, fly, and create solid protective force fields, among other powers. It is unknown exactly which of the powers MCU's new Jean Grey would have if Sink is indeed playing the character. But other than flying, there isn't much action that Jean Grey needs to engage in to defeat her opponent. Sink's statement about how she might or might not have done much action in the film strongly hints that she might be playing a non-action-heavy character in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
