Let's explore the film's ending.
What is the plot of Send Help?
Send Help is about Linda Liddle (played by Rachel McAdams), a corporate strategist. She has a demanding boss named Bradley Preston (Dylan O'Brien) who deliberately stalls her promotion. The two go on a business trip to Bangkok for a merger. However, the plane crashes on an abandoned island where the two have to survive.
How does Send Help end?
Send Help has Linda and Bradley crashing into an island. Linda's survival skills help her in the situation. Meanwhile, a pampered Bradley is having a hard time. Linda finds a modern house on the other side of the island. It is owned by a rich family. She got a knife from that house, which she used for preparing meals.
We also realize that Linda is a widow. The two get drunk on the island one night. She tells him that her husband was a heavy drinker. One night after a fight, he drove off in his car and crashed. She would often hide the car keys after every fight. But she didn't do that night, and his death left her filled with guilt.
Towards the end of Send Help, Bradley points an unloaded shotgun at her. He is telling her that she is a scheming person who was pretending to be innocent. Linda manages to subvert the situation and kills him.
This confirms her killing instinct, as she had earlier killed Bradley's fiancée, Zuri. But it turns out that she is alive and reaches the island looking for him. Linda also killed the boat captain who was trying to save Zuri. This reveals that Linda has a dark side, which flips her image. Since the first film, viewers are made to believe that she is empathetic but meek.
Towards the end, Linda kills Zuri, Bradley, and the captain. This ensures that she's the only survivor of the crash. Linda is eventually promoted in the company. We also see her start playing golf. She earlier hated this sport. The film is mainly a survival story. It showcases that all of us are on our own, and we shouldn't wait for help. Linda manages to create help and come out of the situation. Her behavior becomes ruthless on the island, which she exerts to survive.
The film is playing in the theatres.
