O'Neal said that he wanted to be in the Avengers, but the team told him that fans would immediately recognize him as Shaq if his face appeared on screen. He said that this made him realize his face was:

"Too bigtime."

He added that they feel that audiences would see him on screen and immediately think, "Oh, that's Shaq," making it harder for him to play different characters.
