As fans celebrate the return of their beloved superhero, in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, another Spider-Man's MCU debut might be on the horizon. Miles Morales has been a celebrated Spider-Man since Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse came out, but he isn't part of the MCU yet.
While Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, has hinted at Miles Morales' MCU debut, it seems closer to happening due to something Spider-Man: Brand New Day's Tom Holland has hinted at recently.
What does Spider-Man: Brand New Day's Tom Holland know about Miles Morales' MCU debut?
Ahead of the premiere of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Tom Holland has been giving interviews as a part of the press tour. In two such interviews, he has said things that confirm that he is extremely interested in and passionate about Miles Morales' MCU debut.
Tom Holland spoke to Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast a couple of months before Spider-Man: Brand New Day, came out. When Horowitz asked Holland if he would like to see Miles Morales in the MCU, he responded by saying,
"Oh yeah, there's a whole--there's a whole plan that we have been working on for I would say since we finished Spider-Man: No Way Home and it's like laid out. It's going to change for sure, but I have a really clear vision to the passing on of the baton and I think it's really exciting. I know l get really excited when we have these meetings and chat about it. But that is the thing I want to do most in this character for sure."
As PEOPLE reported, Kevin Feige has recently revealed that Marvel is going to introduce Miles Morales in the MCU once the Spider-Verse films are over. Since the Spider-Verse ends with Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, scheduled for a June 18, 2027 release, we might just see Miles get introduced in Avengers: Secret Wars.
The plan and story behind introducing Miles into the main MCU is more concrete than we might think it is. Besides what Tom Holland said on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, he also said something interesting when he was asked by 1LIVE what he'd ask himself if he were the interviewer. Holland, in response, said:
"I guess it would be when will we get Miles Morales-is the question I would ask cause I know the answer."
When the interviewer followed up by asking him when viewers will indeed see Miles in the MCU, Holland said he couldn't reveal that. Thus, it is evident that Holland knows when and how Miles Morales will be introduced in the MCU. Kevin Feige seems to know that as well, of course, and it seems like we might get to see Miles either in Secret Wars or in a live-action film of his own.
The only question that lies is if Tom Holland will pass on the baton to Miles Morales. Having two Spider-Mans in the MCU at the same time is going to be tricky. Thus, it is yet to be seen whether Miles will be just a guest in the MCU for a while or if he will be the next Spider-Man after Tom Holland's Peter Parker.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is now playing in theaters.
