Star Wars: Starfighter leak reveals Ryan Gosling's character, new addition and storylines

New Star Wars: Starfighter leaks reveal the plot of the next film with character descriptions and a lot of lightsabers. According to MakingStarWars (a Star Wars source), Ryan Gosling may be playing a former First Order pilot, Amy Adams could be playing the canon version of Mara Jade, and Mia Goth might play a Sith Lord. These leaks for Starfighter are absolutely insane, and if any of it is true, the future of Star Wars is very bright. MakingStarWars' tweet reads as:

"I heard Ryan Gosling in Star Wars: Starfighter is playing a character named Cade."

Not a lot is known about the Star Wars movie that will be released in less than a year, starring Gosling and filmed by Shawn Levy. The cast is loaded with actors and actresses like Matt Smith, Amy Adams, Mia Goth, Aaron Pierre, and so much more. There was even a leak a few months back that confirmed that Tom Cruise was on the set of Starfighter filming a lightsaber duel.

Ryan Gosling is reportedly playing Cade in Star Wars: Starfighter

The leaks from Star Wars: Starfighter by MakingStarWars reveal that Gosling will officially play Cade, a washed-up ex-pilot and former war hero. His role was initially written for an early 30s actor before his selection. Ryan plays a renowned pilot and a war hero.

The leaks further reveal that Cade is haunted by the ghosts of his past. People familiar with Star Wars know that a Starfighter pilot killed many people. When those casualties were aboard X-wings, the pilots were usually shown as the heroes.

Flyn Gray's, Eva Mendes's and Aaron Pierre's roles in Star Wars: Starfighter

Flyn Gray is rumored to play a character named Rone/Ronin. The young actor uses an American accent and wears a necklace that carries clear significance. The MakingStarWars leak also revealed that the on-screen connection between Rone and Cade is very strong, and stated:

"I also heard Flynn Gray is playing a character that sounded like Rone or Ronin (something like that). The chemistry between the actors is supposedly really strong."

Furthermore, Eva Mendes' character name has not been confirmed in the official cast of the film. Mendes is expected to appear as Gosling's wife, but it does not match the current claim that she is playing a cantina owner.

Similar to Eva, no confirmation about Aaron's character has been revealed yet. Lucasfilm has kept the details of his character tightly under wraps. According to rumors, his mysterious character may play a hidden Jedi refugee.

Now, let's talk about Amy Adams' character here for a second. These leaks confirm that she is a force user with a lightsaber. Her death is likely the scene that Tom Cruise filmed when he was on set. The fact is, this movie is going to be jam-packed with lightsabers.

Fans have been making the connection ever since Amy Adams was announced in this cast to the most infamous redhead in Star Wars, a Legends character by the name of Mara Jade. In Legends, Mara is known as the Emperor's Hand, meaning she works directly for Palpatine, at least before his first death.

After the Emperor dies, Mara still hears him calling out to her, telling her to go kill Luke Skywalker. Eventually, Luke and Mara fall in love, get married, and even have kids. So, in canon, the character of Mara Jade doesn't exist because Luke does not have any kids, and he never got married.

The villains in Star Wars: Starfighter

The new movie might have multiple villains, but currently, Matt Smith and Mia Goth have been confirmed to play the roles of villains. Specifically, Mia will play the main villain.

The leaks further reveal that Mia will be playing a force-sensitive warrior who wields a lightsaber and works for the infamous warlord.
