The Angry Birds Movie 3 trailer puts Jason Sudeikis' Red in full Dad-mode meltdown

The Angry Birds Movie 3 is set to release on December 23, 2026, in the U.S. Ahead of the premiere, the trailer gives viewers a little sneak peek into the world of the Angry Birds. The trailer features Jason Sudeikis as Red, who now has to face his greatest challenge yet, and that's fatherhood.

In the previous venture, while Mighty Eagle and Zeta get married, Red and Silver ends up together. The trailer of the upcoming film shows that the couple has been blessed with three kids of their own who are in different phases of life. It includes their teenage daughter, June, an adventure-loving son, Glider, and Olly. Here's the Angry Birds 3 trailer:

The Angry Birds Movie 3 trailer opens with Red barely managing to save Olly from getting hurt as a shelf full of knives accidentally falls down. Red snatches Olly and tells,

"Don't tell mom"

A curious baby is nothing less than a menace. But the problems do not end here for Red, as he needs to gear up for more challenges. But his greatest challenge this time is fatherhood. While he drops off his son, Glider, at school, he asks him to name a bird that's cooler than him. To which Gilder names,

"LeSwan James, Hendaya, Michael Beak Johnson, Timothe Quailamet, Bad Birdie, Tate McRaven, Owlix Earl, Ryan Gosling"

Red acknowledges that he's a professional full-time parent, and it's nothing less than a job. In the next scene, he interacts with his daughter, wishing her good night, but she seems to be busy on the phone. He calls his old pals Chuck (Josh Gad) and Bomb (Danny McBride) to be the babysitters, but they struggle to put a diaper on Olly. In short, it's absolute chaos. Can Red balance his duties as a father and as a protector?

The cast introduces several new members, and among them is Walker Scobel, who plays Glider, Red and Silver's teen son. Emma Myers plays June, their independent and adventure-loving daughter, while Psalm West will play the baby hatchling, Olly.

For Scobel, voicing Glider takes him back to his childhood days, he told People,

"My mom used to have this iPad with this pink case. Me and my siblings used to always play games on that when we were younger, and I remember Angry Birds was one of them.”

Scobel further adds that Chuck was his favourite character, and it turns out he'll always remain his favourite.

Meanwhile, Myers adds that she loves the pigs,

"The pigs were my favorite. I always felt really sad that I would attack them."

Myers further adds that in The Angry Birds Movie 3, Red tries to be the best cool dad, even if things do not go as planned. He also makes an effort to be super involved, but that leads to embarrassing situations at times. The film explores different stages of parenting.
