View this post on Instagram Instagram PostAs Deadline reports, at the BFI London Film Festival, the films' producer, Pippa Harris, explained why the four films will be released in the same month. She said:“At the moment, the films will come out in 2028, and we want people to be able to experience them in the cinema at the same time, during the same period,”Harris went on to explain that she or the other producers aren't expecting viewers to watch all four films on the same day. They are hoping that after watching the first film, the audiences will want to watch the next, and thankfully they will be able to do so pretty quickly thanks to the release plan. Harris said:“Now that doesn’t necessarily mean we’re thinking that people will go and see all four films on the same day. But within the same month, you might see one a week, or you might see one film one weekend and another the next. However you do it, we hope that people will see all four films.”Moreover, Harris also said that given the popularity of the band, the production team is making four films to give equal attention to all four members and their stories. Thus, it was important to split the story into four distinct films, and they are just hoping audiences will want to watch them all. Harris said:“They are the greatest band in history, and we’re trying to do our best to do them justice. So hence the four films. I don’t think there’s probably another band that you could legitimately say you wanted to see four films about.”Besides Dickinson, Mescal, Quinn, and Keoghan, The Beatles — A Four-Film Cinematic Event also stars Saoirse Ronan as Linda McCartney, Anna Sawai as Yoko Ono, Aimee Lou Wood as Pattie Boyd, James Norton as Brian Epstein, Harry Lloyd as George Martin, David Morrissey as Jim McCartney, Farhan Akhtar as Ravi Shankar, and Adam Lawrence as Pete Best, among others. The Beatles — A Four-Film Cinematic Event is created, directed, and produced by Sam Mendes. Besides Harris and Mendes, Julie Pastor and Alexandra Derbyshire are also producers behind the films. Jez Butterworth, Peter Straughan, and Jack Thorne are the writers behind the films. Sony Pictures Entertainment, Apple Corps, and Neal Street Productions are the production companies behind the films. All four films of this cinematic event will be released in theaters in April 2028.For more articles like this, follow Soapcentral.
