The Beekeeper 2 trailer brings back Jason Statham’s relentless vigilante for more action

Jason Statham's Adam Clay is returning for a brand new mission in The Beekeeper 2. Sequel to The Beekeeper (2024), the upcoming film will follow Adam as he's tasked with a mission that will make him go against his own people.

Several other characters from the first film will be returning as well. As The Beekeeper 2 teaser trailer reveals, Adam will now have to face the Beekeepers to save the United States government.

Adam Clay will face rogue Beekeepers in The Beekeeper 2

At the end of The Beekeeper, Verona did not shoot or arrest Adam when she had him at gunpoint. She let him go, and all we got to see is that Adam went to the beach. As we see in The Beekeeper 2 teaser trailer, Adam will go on a new mission.

The trailer opens with Wallace Westwyld telling Adam:

"You were the most dangerous operative they ever created. But now, the Beekeepers have gone rogue, and you're the only one who can stop them."

Wallace then reveals that the Beekeepers now want to have complete control over the government of the United States, and nothing will stop them. We're not told why the organization's members have gone rogue, but we do see Pom Klementieff as a beekeeper who effortlessly kills two government operatives.

Adam says he's willing to take up the mission only if he's allowed to do it his way, and Wallace agrees. We then see that Wallace has got a special car for Adam to use in the mission. He describes the car by saying:

"1969 Dodge Super Bee. Fully loaded with stinger."

We do see the car in action, as machinery attached to it shoots men who surround Adam in a circle. The car will thus act as a sidekick to Adam and not just a vehicle. We also get to see the vigilante in Adam return as he kills someone at the end of The Beekeeper 2 trailer.

The man appears to be a rogue Beekeeper who knows Adam. He tries to attack Adam with a flamethrower, but Adam evades it. Adam then manages to stab the man in his leg and push the burning flamethrower into his face. We see the man burn as Adam says something extremely dark that alludes to the man's condition as he's dying. He says:

"Next time, don't be so hot-headed."

Besides Statham, The Beekeeper 2 also stars Emmy Raver-Lampman as Verona Parker, Bobby Naderi as Matt Wiley, Jemma Redgrave as Jessica Danforth, Jeremy Irons as Wallace Westwyld, Finlay Robertson as Fred Ambly, Erick Hayden as Bernie Radcliffe, and Sophia Feliciano as Kelly Krane, among others. Yara Shahidi, Pom Klementieff, and Adam Copeland also star in undisclosed roles.

The film is directed by Timo Tjahjanto and written by Umair Aleem. It is produced by Jason Statham, Chris Long, and Kurt Wimmer. The production companies behind the film are Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Miramax, Punch Palace Productions, and Long Shot Productions.

The Beekeeper 2 will be released in theaters on January 15, 2027.
