Quinton Aaron's family has revealed the reason behind the actor’s hospitalization. Aaron was hospitalized earlier this week, with TMZ reporting the reason as a fall.
His family has disclosed the reason for his hospitalization, stating that he had a spinal stroke. The statement read:
"We acknowledge that you’ve heard about Quinton Aaron’s condition. We appreciate the overwhelming love, support and prayers that Quinton has received over the past few days from his fans, the public, and our concerned community. To update everyone, he had a spinal stroke."
His family also gave an update on his health, adding that Quinton Aaron is:
"Alert, aware, and recovering."
Last week, his manager also told TMZ that The Blind Side actor is in stable condition and is getting better. A GoFundMe page was also created for Quinton Aaron, stating that he is receiving life support following a serious blood infection. It has raised over $45,000 as of now.
Quinton Aaron's family asks everyone to rely only on official updates

According to TMZ, the statement released by his family requested everyone to only rely on the official updates that come from them or their spokesperson. The reported statement read:
"To be clear, any other information that you hear pertaining to Quinton’s health from any other source that isn’t coming directly from his official blood relative family, that will come in the form of their appointed chosen spokesperson and life long friend Liana Mendoza, is not to be taken as factual information."
The statement said the family is going through a lot because of Quinton's health and will share more updates soon. They asked people to understand that some information being shared may not be correct, as not everyone knows his full condition or is allowed to speak about it, and requested respect during this time.
The family ended their statement by saying:
"If there continues to be indications of, or individuals who speak about his condition without consent, which violates HIPAA laws, we strongly urge you not to, because there will be legal repercussions. Thank you once again for the outpouring of love."
Earlier this week, TMZ said a rare cyst was found in Quinton's spine. His wife, Margarita Aaron, also told Fox News earlier this week that he was taken to the hospital because of irregular breathing, adding:
"Although he seemed like he was a little lucid, he was not very responsive. I did at least get a thumbs up out of him when I chatted with him, which was promising. At this point, the endotracheal tube or the breathing assistance that he has is not doing all the work, thankfully."
