The concept art for Avengers: Doomsday has been released online following the Marvel panel at Shanghai this week. We should note that the image is just a concept art and not an official poster. But it does give a glimpse into what the MCU Doctor Doom and other characters look like in the movie. The concept art includes all the announced cast members, which was announced last March (except for Chris Evans).

As of now very little information is available about the next Avengers movie, except for four short teasers that were released between last December and early this year. Except for frequent interviews and trailer releases in closed-off events like CinemaCon, Marvel has kept footage of Avengers: Doomsday under lock and key.

Is the Avengers: Doomsday concept art real?

Yes, the Doomsday concept art is indeed official. Andy Park, who was Marvel Studios' director of visual development, shared it on his social media accounts, confirming its authenticity. Marvel laid off Park along with the rest of the visual development team this April.

However, despite that, Park shared the concept art that he developed for the upcoming project with a caption reflecting positively on his experience:

"AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY was the final full film I had the opportunity to lead as Director of Visual Development at Marvel Studios. It was truly an honor, and I was grateful to commemorate that journey with this marketing illustration which officially reveals, for the first time, the characters and their looks in the film. This one was definitely a beast to paint, but I genuinely enjoyed every minute of it."

The Doomsday concept art provides our look at the following characters appearing in the MCU movie:

  • Robert Downey Jr. - Doctor Doom/Victor von Doom
  • Tom Hiddleston - Loki (The God of Stroies is right underneath Doom)
  • Chris Hemsworth - Thor
  • Chris Evans - Steve Rogers
  • Paul Rudd - Ant-Man/Scott Lang
  • Anthony Mackie - Captain America/Sam Wilson
  • Danny Ramirez - Falcon/Joaquin Torres
  • Florence Pugh - Yelena Belova
  • Lewis Pullman - Sentry/Bob Reynolds
  • Sebastian Stan - Winter Soldier/Bucky Barnes
  • Hannah John-Kamen - Ghost/Ava Starr
  • David Harbour - Red Guardian/Alexei Shostakov
  • Wyatt Russell - U.S. Agent/John Walker
  • Simu Liu - Shang-Chi
  • Letitia Wright - Black Panther/Shuri
  • Winston Duke - M'Baku
  • Sir Patrick Stewart - Professor X/Charles Xavier
  • Sir Ian McKellen - Magneto/Erik Lehnsherr
  • James Marsden - Cyclops/Scott Summers
  • Channing Tatum - Gambit/Remy LeBeau
  • Kelsey Grammer - Beast/Hank McCoy
  • Rebecca Romijn - Mystique/Raven Darkhölme
  • Alan Cumming - Nightcrawler/Kurt Wagner
  • Pedro Pascal - Mister Fantastic/Reed Richards
  • Vanessa Kirby - Invisible Woman/Sue Storm
  • Joseph Quinn - Human Torch/Johnny Storm
  • Ebon Moss-Bachrach - The Thing/Ben Grimm

The Avengers: Doomsday concept art can be classified into three separate factions with three different colors in the background:

  1. The New Avengers (formerly known as Thunderbolts) along with Steve Rogers - Green
  2. The mutants - Purple
  3. The Fantastic Four, Captain America/Sam Wilson, Falcon/Joaquin Torres, Shuri and M'Baku - Blue

Right in the center is Victor Von Doom, with Loki right underneath, who is barely visible.

What do we know about Doomsday?

A culmination of the Multiverse Saga, the upcoming Avengers movie will involve three separate Earths: Earth-616 (MCU), Earth-828 (The Fantastic Four: First Steps), and Earth-10005 (the Fox X-Men franchise). We may learn more about Doomsday on July 25, 2026, at Marvel's Hall H panel, i.e., the San Diego Comic-Con.
