Sharon Causse died in May 2008:
As featured in the first trailer for The Widower: 'Til Death Do Us Part, Sharon Causse was fatally shot in an alleged home invasion in May 2008. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Randolph called 911 and reported that his wife was shot dead by a masked intruder and that he subsequently shot and killed the intruder in self-defense.
It was later that the investigators learned about Randolph's harrowing past of six wives and that the 'intruder' was actually Michael Miller, a handyman hired to execute Causse. Randolph orchestrated the killing to collect more than $300,000 in insurance money.
Thomas Randolph's first trial was in 2017
According to 8 News Now, Randolph was found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder and first-degree murder for the deaths of Causse and Miller in 2017.
But the Nevada Supreme Court overturned this conviction, ruling that the trial was tainted as the prosecutors presented prejudicial evidence about the deaths of his prior wives, especially Becky Gault.
Thomas Randolph was sentenced in April 2024
Following a second jury trial in 2023, Judge Tierra Jones sentenced Thomas Randolph to 60 years to life in prison. The ruling stated that each charge, two counts of murder with a deadly weapon and a count of conspiracy to commit murder, would run consecutively. Reportedly, Randolph is serving his sentence at the Lovelock Correctional Center in Pershing County, Nevada.
