Tommy Lee Jones' daughter, Victoria Jones, died of acute cocaine toxicity. The news was confirmed by the San Francisco Chief Medical Examiner's Office to People Magazine.

Victoria passed away last month on New Year's at the age of thirty-four. She was the daughter of Tommy Lee Jones and Kimberlea Cloughley and was a sister to Austin Leonard Jones. She also appeared in many projects in the past, some of which include The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, The Homesman, and One Tree Hill.

After the news was announced, the Jones family released a reported statement that read:

"We appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, and prayers. Please respect our privacy during this difficult time. Thank you."

According to the Chief Medical Examiner's Office, Victoria reportedly died of:

"Toxic effects of cocaine"

According to officials, there were reportedly no signs of foul play or anyone else involved.

The news first came on New Year's night, after which the San Francisco Fire Department and Police Department reached the scene and found one person dead. Though the name was not confirmed at that time, it was later confirmed by NBC Bay Area through a police source.

The Sun also reported that police did not find any drug items in the hotel room at the time.

After the incident, The Fairmont Hotel also released a statement that read,

"We are deeply saddened by an incident that occurred at the hotel on January 1, 2026. Our heartfelt condolences are with the family and loved ones during this very difficult time. The hotel team is actively cooperating and supporting police authorities within the framework of the ongoing investigation."

According to People, Tommy Lee Jones' daughter was taken into custody at least twice last year, including once for being found with drugs. However, she had said she was not guilty in those cases, and the matters were still open at the time of her death.

After her death, an old video of Tommy Lee Jones talking about Victoria also went viral, in which he was seen saying:

"She’s a good actress, has her SAG card, speaks impeccable Spanish. When she was a baby, I told Leticia, her nurse, to speak to her in Spanish."

Jones added that he once decided to fire his daughter after she struggled to get out of bed in the early morning. The statement read:

"One morning, she wouldn’t get out of bed. I said, ‘Honey, this is work.’ But she wouldn’t budge. So I fired her. Then, without telling me, the production staff went over and woke her and rushed her out to the set just in time."
