The United States representative Eric Burlison reportedly expressed concern in the Rebelliously Curious with Chrissy Newton podcast about the UFO disclosure effort. Eric said that the effort could come to a standstill if Democrats regain control of Congress in the upcoming midterm elections. The Missouri Republican said,"If we lose the midterms, this effort will come to a complete halt."According to Eric, Democrats clarified that they would focus heavily on investigating the Trump administration if they gained control of Congress. He also mentioned that the Trump government would likely direct those resources toward defending itself against those investigations.Continue reading more about the story.Eric Burlison warned about the halt of the UFO disclosure effort if the GOP loses midtermsWhile speaking with Chrissy Newton in her podcast, the Missouri Republican Eric Burlison said that if the Grand Old Party (or GOP) loses the upcoming midterm election, then the UFO disclosure effort would come to a complete halt. Eric said,"Unfortunately, and I'm not saying this for political reasons, I truly think that this is true. If we lose the midterms, this effort will come to a complete halt."The US representative had two reasons behind his claim:"The reason is two prongs. One is that the Democratic Party has made it very clear that they will focus their efforts on an investigation of the Trump administration. Then two, the Trump administration, which has been very generous with their resources on this topic, is going to pull all of those resources into defense mode, and so the prioritization is going to completely change."Eric further revealed that staff resources supporting UFO disclosure efforts would likely be redirected if political parties shifted. He said that Stephen Miller, who is leading the pursuit effort, would be pulled away from that work and instead focus on helping the administration respond to investigators.According to Eric, the administration would be forced into a defensive position if the GOP loses and would dedicate most of its attention to defending the president rather than advancing the UFO disclosure effort. He also argued that Democrats would spend the next two years focusing on political attacks instead of pursuing the issue. Is Eric's UFO disclosure effort at stake?Disclosure supporters had also raised questions about the future of Congressman Eric's UAP Caucus, which was established in 2023 after whistleblower David Grusch testified before Congress. David claimed that the U.S. government had found vehicles of non-human origin and tried to reverse-engineer the technology. Since then, Caucus members have pushed for greater transparency about UAP sightings.Although the U.S. government had not officially confirmed the existence of non-human intelligence, the Caucus had made some progress through the Trump administration's ongoing release of UAP-related records. According to the U.S. Department of War, the UFO disclosure effort began on May 8, 2026, and the seventh batch of files was made public on October 23, 2026.Decision Desk HQ revealed that currently Eric has a 99% chance of winning re-election in Missouri's seventh Congressional District, where he is running against Democratic challenger Missi Hesketh.According to the Hill, Rep. Andre Carson of Indiana said that the Trump administration had delayed efforts to improve transparency around UFO reporting and investigations. He argued that the administration had moved too slowly on releasing information that pointed to historical UAP records reports. Therefore, he urged officials to make the documents public without further delay.Read more: Timothy Gallaudet opened up about the 80-year-long UFO disinformation campaign.Follow Soap Central for more updates on entertainment.
