Unabomber trailer is out now: A look into Ted Kaczynski’s story
The trailer for the much-anticipated crime-drama thriller is out and makes it clear that this crime thriller based on the real and chilling story of Ted Kaczynski, will not only focus on the young man's crimes but also on the journey that made him a terrorist in the end.
It's a story about a gifted mind ending up as the culprit behind the attacks. Ted was a brilliant but isolated teenager at Harvard. But instead of doing something great with his skills and knowledge, he carried out a nearly two-decade campaign of mail bombings.
Not only this, Ted also sent homemade explosive devices to people he considered connected to modern technology and society. As a result, his attacks killed three people and injured 23 others, making the search for him one of the FBI’s major investigations.
And the trailer also introduces Professor Henry Murray and the psychological experiments involving Kaczynski, hinting that these difficult experiences played a part in shaping his later outlook.
The story then moves into the 1990s, with the focus on the FBI’s search for the Unabomber. Shailene Woodley plays Joanne Miller, a fictional agent who leads the investigation as the authorities work through the evidence and try to identify the person behind the attacks.
Kaczynski’s manifesto also played a big role in the investigation. The search eventually leads to his remote cabin in Montana, where he is arrested in 1996. So, if you wish to explore Ted Kaczynski’s journey into becoming the most unexpected version of himself, then make sure to stream the movie on Netflix!
Unabomber will arrive only on Netflix on Spetember 25, 2026!
