A clip from a January 22 A$AP Rocky interview from The Embro Show has gone viral on social media. In the video, the rapper was asked about his opinion on Kanye West, who now goes by the name Ye. Rocky described Ye as one of the trailblazers in hip-hop and fashion who knocked down walls for young artists like himself. He said:“I just feel nigg*s like Ye… they've knocked down a door for us to be us. Like they did, you know, they ran so that we could walk. They was the first nigg*s. I think Ye is like… he is one of the most influential dudes you know to do this sh*t. One of the most influential dude you know what I mean.”He continued:“I don't agree with a lot of sh*t, you know, anybody does sometimes especially him, sometimes you know he's on his own missions, sometimes he makes sense, sometimes he could be Ye, you know what I'm saying, but erm I don't think it takes away from you know what he did when I was a kid and how he influenced me and all of that sh*t.”Adding:“I think he did an amazing job.”In the same interview, Rocky revealed that Ye inspired adlib placement and production on his recent album, Don't Be Dumb.More details on A$AP Rocky’s albumA$AP Rocky released his fourth studio album, Don’t Be Dumb, on January 16.
