Famous actor Bill Cosby has been back in the news for reasons that no fan could ever want him to be. Recently unsealed legal documents have revealed a surprising fact from a deposition he gave years ago. The attention surrounding this issue is the fact that the information was not new it was from his deposition back in the 2000s.

However, it has recently resurfaced as a result of a lawsuit filed by a woman accusing him of damaging her back in the 1970s. The information he gave during the deposition has been surprising to many people, especially considering the drastic change from the wholesome image he had built over the years.

Bill Cosby Admits to Giving Women Quaaludes

In a recently filed court document related to a lawsuit brought by Donna Motsinger accusing Bill Cosby of damaging her back in the 1970s, Bill Cosby admitted to refilling a prescription he had obtained for Quaaludes, a sedative popular back in the day. He admitted to refilling this prescription seven times and claimed he had never taken the Quaaludes himself. This information came from a sealed deposition that was later unsealed during the legal proceedings. According to the documents, he had obtained the Quaaludes from a doctor friend who had written him a prescription for the sedative during a poker game at his Los Angeles home before 1972. The doctor had his medical license revoked. According to the lawsuit, Motsinger had been given a pill that she thought was harmless, but instead fell unconscious and awoke in Cosby’s home with no recollection of what had happened.

The focus on these old details has been heightened since TMZ and other media outlets published some of the legal documents, which include the claims that Cosby got the quaaludes specifically to give to women with whom he wanted to sleep. However, he testified that the women knew what they were ingesting and that he did not use the drug on the women without their knowledge.

They asked Cosby if it was in his mind to use the quaaludes on young women he wanted to sleep with, and he admitted that it was.

However, some of the comments highlighted how this admission by Bill Cosby contrasts with his previous denials of his actions and how he has acted since the initial accusations came out about his character.

As the news of the quaaludes admission by Cosby continues to spread, it also serves as a reminder of the complexity of the legal battle he is involved in and how it brings back into the public domain some of the decades-old testimony.
