Green Bay Packers player Rasheed Walker has been arrested. The offensive lineman was arrested at LaGuardia Airport in New York on Friday due to checking in a bag that contained a firearm.

Rasheed Walker was taken into custody when his bag was checked and revealed a locked box with a 9mm Glock pistol. Walker was taken into custody after Port Authority police were alerted and came to Terminal C. After the NFL player's bag was checked, the firearm and 36 rounds of ammo were found.
He got charged with criminal possession of a firearm and two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. According to an exclusive with the New York Post, Walker's lawyer, Arthur Aidala, said,
"It was in a locked box and he disclosed it to the people at the airport," he added, "He told a person from Delta he was traveling with a firearm. He mistakenly thought because he had a licensed firearm and it was in a locked box that he was able to travel with it. We are confident the case will be dismissed.”
The firearm was legally licensed in Wisconsin, and Rasheed Walker didn't know he couldn’t travel with the gun in New York. Rasheed came to Queens County Criminal Court and has to head back to court on March 19. The player, who will become an unrestricted free agent in March, hasn't made a public statement himself yet.
