What did Cori Broadus say about losing her daughter Codi? Snoop Dogg's family mourns heartbreaking loss after long NICU battle

Cori Broadus, the daughter of popular American rapper Snoop Dogg, is mourning the loss of her daughter. Cori took to her official Instagram on Saturday to announce that her baby girl, Codi Dreaux, whom she shared with her fiancé, Wayne Deuce, is gone. She wrote on Instagram:

“Monday, I lost the love of my life. My Codi.”

Wayne Deuce also announced his daughter’s passing. He shared a photo of himself holding little Codi in his Instagram story and captioned it:

“I been the saddest since u left me Codi Dreaux. But I know u at peace. Daddy will always love you.”

Cori Broadus also reposted a tribute from Chinkbella, who was Codi’s nurse. She wrote:

“I been sad for 6 days straight. Being a nurse has its ups and downs and this is the biggest down I ever experienced. It was such a pleasure being my babygirls nurse. I gave her one last bath told her I loved her and didn't even know I was getting her ready for Heaven her parents @princessbroadus & @wayneduece are forever in my heart, my family ever.”

In December 2024, Cori Broadus announced her pregnancy during an interview with E! News.

“I found out October 28. This baby is so unplanned, but we are soooooo blessed,” she told the news outlet.

Adding:

“I'm high risk pregnancy and doctors were very concerned for me and the baby but God has his hands on me, and me and the baby are doing perfectly fine. I’m having a girl.”

Cori told the news outlet that her parents were excited.

“My mom and dad were so excited, their baby girl is having a baby. My dad was hoping for a grandson, though.”

She added:

“I'm just excited to love on my baby girl and make her feel like she's the prettiest in the world. Growing up, I wasn't the most confident and never felt like I fit in, so just to instill all the beautiful things in her head at a young age. And I’m having a mini me. Wayne said he's excited to have someone that looks like me. He knows she is going to be so beautiful, and he just can't wait to build things for her and give her all the love in the world.”

Cori Broadus and Wayne Deuce welcomed their first child together in February 2025. In the birth announcement, Cori shared that Codi was born three months early. She posted a black-and-white photo of Codi’s foot and captioned it:

“The princess arrived at 6 months. I’ve cried and cried, I’ve compared and compared, blaming myself that I wasn’t able to give her all that she needed. But no matter what, God always shows me that I’m His Child!”

Adding:

“Baby girl came at 25 weeks today, and she’s perfect as ever! Thank You God for getting me this far, no matter the odds that are constantly thrown against me.”

The same day she announced Codi’s birth, Cori Broadus went on her Instagram story to explain her daughter’s birth in detail. She shared that Codi was born through C-section after doctors told her she was developing HELLP syndrome, which stands for Hemolysis, Elevated Liver enzymes and Low Platelets.

Little Codi spent 10 months in the NICU before she was able to go home in January 2026. On January 6, Cori Broadus excitedly announced that her baby was home. She wrote on Instagram:

“She’s home. Thank you for every prayer, every message, every ounce of love. God heard them all.”
