Earlier this week, actress-singer Taryn Manning was caught on camera having a full-blown altercation with her longtime alleged girlfriend, Holly Hartman.

The video was recorded by assistant and makeup artist Hartman as the Orange Is the New Black alum was seen verbally abusing her, before laying her hands. At one point, Taryn Manning said:

“Look what you have done to my f**king studio!”

A few moments later, she also threatened to call the cops, to which Holly Hartman responds:

“Call the police. I'll show them you just attacked me.”

As the video ended, Taryn Manning was recorded throwing things at he alleged girlfriend’s direction, including a handbag, while trying to lunge towards her.

According to the Daily Mail, the duo have known each other for over 14 years.

Exploring the rocky history between Taryn Manning and Holly Hartman

In October 2012, Taryn Manning was taken into custody for purportedly kicking and punching Holly Hartman under the influence of alcohol in a domestic violence case. At the time, they were roommates and were romantically linked.

Manning spent a night behind bars and was charged with misdemeanor assault, obstruction of breathing/ blood circulation, and strangulation. Hartman declined to prosecute the actress, and the judge adjourned the case, telling Taryn to maintain sobriety for the next six months and do a day of community service to get her charges dropped.

Fortunately, for the Sons of Anarchy star, she was able to live up to the court’s orders and was officially acquitted after presenting good behavior.

Three years later, Holly Hartman accused Taryn Manning of attacking her with a wet towel, putting her in a headlock, headbutting her face, and spraying Windex in her eyes and mouth during a fight in New York City. The makeup artist claimed her roommate had a “death wish” and threatened her by saying:

“Pick a knife. I'm wearing a white shirt; there will be a lot of blood. You will be famous for killing Taryn Manning.”

In the aftermath, the former tried to get a restraining order against the latter. However, the L.A. judge dismissed it as the incident occurred in a different city. At the time, Taryn Manning’s attorney released a statement via her publicist to The Times.

“The application for the order is suspect because Ms Manning has had no contact with Ms Hartman in many months due to Ms Hartman's actions against Ms Manning, which are currently under criminal investigation in multiple jurisdictions.”

The legal counsel continued:

“These investigations have long predated these entirely fabricated allegations. Ms Hartman is under investigation for stalking Ms Manning and for theft and other crimes. It is clear that Ms Hartman's camp has leaked these allegations, which were not available publicly, to elevate her own position and obscure her own wrongdoing.”

Meanwhile, in October 2023, Manning reported her car stolen in Palm Springs, which was later found by the authorities in West Hollywood, being driven by Hartman.

Back then, Holly was pulled over by the sheriff’s department after the 2004 Chrysler Crossfire was suspected of overheating. She was taken into custody but was seemingly not charged.

Hartman isn’t the only one to have accused Taryn Manning of erratic behavior. In November 2014, Manning’s ex-roommate Jeanine Heller called the police after the Hustle & Flow actress allegedly threatened to kill her. Before that, in July of that year, Manning accused Heller of harassment via texts and emails, and the duo got a mutual protective order.

“There are no charges against me... This is just further harassment. It is troubling that the system can be used to abuse the actual victim,” Taryn said back then.

Subsequently, Jeanine was arrested for violating the protective order and pleaded guilty to contempt. She was sentenced to six months of compulsory mental health therapy.

Taryn Manning also spent days at a psychiatric facility after suffering a psychotic breakdown on the sets of OITNB in 2016. Upon her release, she told the media that she didn’t have a problem nor partook in drugs of any kind. She added:

“I've never even seen methamphetamine. Nothing. Never. I'm not saying I’ve never done drugs. I've made it clear [on Instagram] that I used to do a bump [of cocaine] here and there, but not anymore,' she told the publication, adding, ‘I call it the devil's dandruff — can't stand it.’”

In 2023, Manning also went viral after providing graphic details of her s*xual encounter with a married man. She later apologized.
