Omar Gooding was recently involved in a serious car accident. The actor was in the back seat of a car with his seat belt on, and the car was taking him to the airport when the accident happened. The actor has been hospitalized and is currently in recovery. From his hospital bed, Omar Gooding revealed the accident he had suffered in an Instagram post on March 29, 2026:"Yes , I was in a bad accident. No I did not break my neck… completely. Hangman’s fracture is what they call it . GOD IS GOOD. I was in the back seat sleeping on my way to the airport and YES I had my seatbelt on or it would have been worse."Omar Gooding went on to state that he was making the post so that his concerned fans would stop calling him, as he needed his phone free so he could keep in touch with his family members.He also said that he was not sure how long he would be in the hospital, though his doctor told him that he would need three months to recover.
