Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made their debut appearance at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. They attended to support the premiere of the documentary Cookie Queens.
Sources reported that when the film started on January 25 at Eccles Theatre, it failed to attract the crowd as roughly 150 seats stayed empty at the balcony, alongside scattered empty chairs on the ground floor. This number later dropped to 60 as waitlist attendees filled spots for reserved seats.

While Prince Harry was spotted wearing a puffer jacket and blue jeans, Markle wore a deep navy trench coat over a white sweater, paired with black wide-leg jeans and black ruffled boots.
This was the second time the pair appeared at a special screening and celebration as they were first spotted on January 24 at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center in Salt Lake City, where they walked the red carpet and posed for photos.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attend the Sundance Film Festival
In an exclusive interview with People magazine, conducted on the red carpet of the Sundance Film Festival premiere of Cookie Queens, Meghan Markle revealed her favorite Girl Scout cookie. She told the outlet:
“I’m a Thin Mints. It’s such a classic. And as a Girl Scout, it was always the one that sold the fastest, so I think you remember it for that reason too. I don’t know if you’re supposed to, but it’s certainly a nice plus!”
The 91-minute film has been executive produced by the couple through their Archewell Productions company, launched in April 2020 after they stepped back from royal duties. The documentary follows four Girl Scouts as they compete and navigate the challenges of the cookie-selling season.

Alysa Nahmias, an award-winning director and founder of Ajna films has helmed the project. She has a background in documentaries with previous directing credits including Unfinished Spaces, The New Bauhaus, and Art and Krimes by Krimes. For Cookie Queens, she also served as one of the producers alongside Michael Dweck, Gregory Kershaw, and Jennifer Sims.
Prince and Meghan Markle attended the Sundance Film Festival on two consecutive days. On January 24, they made a surprise visit for a special screening of their executive-produced documentary Cookie Queens at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center in Salt Lake City. The next day the couple returned for the official premiere at Eccles Theater in Park City.
During the Sundance Film Festival, they posed with several key people and attendees, including the filmmaker Alysa Nahmias. Markle introduced Nahmias onstage as she praised her vision. She said:
“This film is such a labor of love they have worked on for a couple years…I think the editorial in this that you’ll see is also something pretty outstanding. That is all testament to the talent and expertise of the director, Alysa Nahmias, who is here today.”
Other attendees at the Sundance Film Festival with whom Meghan Markle and Prince Harry posed for photographs included the young Girl Scouts - Ara, Olive, Nikki, and Shannon Elizabeth among others. They were also seen posing with Amy Redford, and Sundance Festival director Eugene Hernandez.
