Fans of Dolly Parton were excited to hear updates about their idol’s health from pop sensation Miley Cyrus.

During her appearance at the Avatar: Fire and Ash premiere in Los Angeles, the 33-year-old Wrecking Ball singer shared that her godmother was getting better and was preparing to return to work.

Cyrus stated,

“She’s always gonna keep the show going. The show must go on. She’s just excited to get back to work.”

Miley Cyrus’s health update aligns with what an insider told People Magazine last month. The inside source, who is reportedly close to Dolly Parton, revealed that she was getting better every day.

“Dolly is getting better every day.”

They continued:

“She is at home taking care of herself while many friends and family visit her. In true Dolly spirit, she has already started decorating for the holidays — her favorite time of year.”

More details on Dolly Parton’s health issues

Fans of Dolly Parton were anxious about their favorite country singer when Dolly’s sister, Frieda Parton, posted a cryptic message on Facebook, saying she was staying up all night praying for her sister. This made fans believe that Dolly Parton was seriously ill and at the point of death. Although Frieda clarified almost immediately that she “didn't mean to scare anyone” and Dolly wasn't as sick as she made it sound, fans of the 9 to 5 singer were still anxious.

In October, Dolly Parton posted a video on her Instagram promising her fans that she was okay. She captioned the video: “I ain't dead yet.”

Parton began, clarifying:

“I wanted to say that I know lately everybody thinks that I am sicker than I am. Do I look sick to you? I'm working hard here.”

She continued, trying to reassure her fans and also expressing gratitude for the prayers.

“Anyway, I wanted to put everybody’s mind at ease, those of you that seemed to be really concerned, which I appreciate, and I appreciate your prayers, cause I'm a person of faith, I can always use the prayers for anything and everything.”

Dolly concluded the lengthy video:

“Anyway, there are just a lot of rumors flying around, but I figured if you heard it from me, you'd know that I was okay. So anyhow, that's what I wanted to say, and I'm not ready to die yet. I don't think God is through with me. So I love you for caring and keep praying for me.”
