Selma Blair is facing two felony assault charges after an incident tied to a Delta Air Lines flight to New York. NBC New York reported that she was arraigned in Queens Criminal Court on Monday night on two counts of second-degree assault. The counts relate to alleged kicks at a police officer and a nurse after the plane landed.

Her attorneys posted $20,000 cash bail. Blair left the courthouse without answering questions. A representative said she "experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged conduct," the New York Times reported. The actress, 54, is due back in court on January 19, 2027.

Celebrity Net Worth lists her fortune at $4 million, in an update dated October 12, 2026.

Selma Blair's net worth: film paychecks, TV pay and property

Celebrity Net Worth ties Selma Blair's net worth to a screen career that began in the mid-1990s. Her first television appearance came in a 1995 episode of The Adventures of Pete & Pete. Her breakout, Cruel Intentions, arrived in 1999, and she shared the MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss for it. Legally Blonde followed in 2001 and grossed $141.8 million worldwide.

The Hellboy films added more. The 2004 original grossed more than $99 million, and the 2008 sequel more than $168 million, the site says. Television paid too. IMDb lists her salary on Anger Management at $40,000 per episode, the site reports. She appeared in more than 50 episodes across the first two seasons.

Later work included the 2016 role of Kris Jenner in The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story. Her 2022 memoir, Mean Baby, became a New York Times bestseller.

She paid $645,000 for a West Hollywood home in 2001 and sold it in 2004 for $1.2 million. A Hollywood house bought for $1.315 million sold for $1.85 million in 2012. Around 2014, she bought a Cape Cod-style home in Fryman Canyon, which Architectural Digest featured in March 2019.

Selma Blair arrest: the flight, the charges and the investigation

The Port Authority Police Department responded to a call around 11 p.m. Sunday about a physically abusive passenger on a Delta flight from Los Angeles International Airport, NBC New York reported. Police identified the passenger as Selma Blair.

Two flight attendants reported injuries. Law enforcement sources told NBC that one had a bite mark and the other a cut. One attendant was taken to a hospital. Port Authority Police and the FBI met the plane at JFK. A senior law enforcement official said that the FBI issued Blair a violation summons for the on-board assault.

A summons replaces an arrest and amounts to a federal misdemeanor, according to NBC. The FBI said it is investigating and declined further comment. The FAA also said it would look into a "passenger disturbance."

The felony counts come from what followed. Charging documents say Selma Blair freed a leg from the stretcher straps on the way to Jamaica Hospital. She then kicked a Port Authority officer repeatedly in the face, neck, and chest. She also allegedly kicked a nurse in the chest.

It was not her first incident on a plane. In 2016, she was removed from a Cancun to Los Angeles flight after an outburst, the Times noted. She later told Vanity Fair that mixing alcohol and medication made her black out.

At the time of press, there are no further updates on the charges.
