Pretty Ricky founding member Spectacular Smith has been facing a civil lawsuit from an Arizona woman alleging sexual assault and battery.

Smith now works as a digital entrepreneur, a keynote speaker and a philanthropist. Despite pursuing entrepreneurship and digital marketing, he remains connected to his musical roots as an active member with Pretty Ricky.

A report in TMZ identifies the woman as Alexis Dieng, who filed the complaint against the rapper in Maricopa County Superior Court in August. In her lawsuit, she alleged that the rapper contacted her through Instagram in October 2025 to request a restaurant recommendation.

Dieng claims that Smith built her trust and arranged a meeting that was later changed to a residence in Maricopa County. After reaching the location, she claimed that he indulged in nonconsensual sexual intercourse with her. Her complaint reportedly stated that Smith applied pressure to her neck, restricting breathing. He recorded all or part of the incident without her consent.

Spectacular Smith’s life has come into the spotlight after he was sued by a woman identified as Alexis Dieng for assault and battery and sexual assault.

According to a TMZ report, Benjamin Taylor, attorney for Dieng, said:

“We plan to seek justice for our client.”

Smith has not responded in the available reports. No response from his side or court date details were noted.

He made his breakthrough in the music industry as a member and choreographer of the Miami R&B group Pretty Ricky. The group made their major mainstream breakthrough after signing with Atlantic Records.

They released their album Bluestars in 2005 and scored hits like Grind with Me and Your Body. Released in 2005 as the lead single, Grind with Me peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified platinum, while Your Body reached No. 12 and was certified gold.

Born on September 7, 1986, in Miami, Florida, Smith grew up in Miami’s Section 8 housing projects amid financial hardship. His father, Joseph Smith, was a music manager and founder of the indie label Bluestar Entertainment. Their mother raised him and his three siblings as a single parent in Miami.

From a young age, Spectacular Smith showed entrepreneurial drive and sold candy at school at 11. He earned $2,000, per his LinkedIn and supported his family. Smith attended school in Miami while growing up in Section 8 housing. He started dancing in the third grade as part of local Miami dance groups like Forever Nasty, which helped shape his stage presence and rhythm.

With encouragement from his parents, Smith teamed up with his brother Diamond (Baby Blue) Smith, his cousin Corey (Slick 'Em) Mathis and singer Marcus (Pleasure P) Cooper to form Pretty Ricky.

Smith enrolled as a student at Harvard Business School. He later founded Spectacular Academy in 2020 as an online business school focused on social media growth, digital marketing and entrepreneurship.

He founded Adwizar (later Adwizar.ai), a social media management and monetization company that has worked with artists such as Bow Wow, Kevin Gates, Soulja Boy, Master P, Birdman and others. He currently serves as the CEO and chairman of Spectacular Academy and Adwizar Inc.

On the personal level, Spectacular Smith is in a long-term relationship with Jamee DeSouza. Reports indicate that they have been together for 20 years. In January 2014, they welcomed a son named Spectacular Blue Smith Jr. Smith also has another son, Makhiari Smith, from a previous relationship.
