Pooh Shiesty got out of federal prison in October 2025. The twenty-six-year-old rapper had served a 63-month sentence for a firearms conspiracy charge. Lontrell Dennell Williams Jr, who is known to his fans as Pooh Shiesty, has made headlines recently after the FBI searched a Memphis-area home connected to him.
As per FOX13 Memphis, the FBI did a search and arrest warrant at a home in Cordova, Tennessee, on Wednesday morning. Reporters got to the scene around 6 a.m and saw the Federal Bureau of Investigation agents going in and out of the home.
The Shelby County Assessor's website listed the property under the name Lontrell Williams. As per FOX13, both Pooh Shiesty and his father share this legal name. The FBI didn't share more information about the search and skipped sharing who they were after.
Action News 5 confirmed that the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation was also at the scene with federal agents. No one has been arrested yet, as authorities haven't announced any charges.
Pooh Shiesty pleaded guilty to gun charge in 2022 to avoid three other counts including weapon discharge:

As per a report shared by Billboard, Pooh Shiesty was sentenced to five years and three months in prison for a gun conspiracy conviction that stemmed from an October 2020 incident in Florida. The rapper was twenty-two years old when U.S. District Judge Kevin Michael Moore sentenced him in Miami Federal Court following a plea deal he made with federal prosecutors to reduce his sentence.
The Back in Blood rapper pleaded guilty to one charge of conspiring to possess a firearm for violent crimes and drug trafficking. In exchange, prosecutors dismissed three other charges against him, including a more serious one that accused him of actually firing the weapon.
The legal trouble came from a shooting that happened at the Landon Hotel in Bay Harbor Islands, Florida, in October 2020. According to prosecutors, Shiesty and two other people went to the hotel to buy marijuana and expensive sneakers, but the deal turned violent, and they shot the sellers. Both victims survived the shooting.
A grand jury indicted the Monday to Sunday rapper on four counts in June 2022 related to the shooting, including charges for conspiring to possess a firearm and discharging a firearm, along with two robbery charges under the federal Hobbs Act. The case was scheduled to go to trial in October, but Shiesty told the court he wanted to reach a plea agreement instead.
DJ Akademiks clarified Pooh Shiesty wasn't arrested in Dallas after label confirmed rapper on home confinement:

Pooh Shiesty was a promising artist to his fans, as he even had a deal with Gucci Mane's 1017 label before he went to prison. When the rapper got out last year, videos showed him celebrating at home. His fans were happy to see him free, but some were confused because he wasn't supposed to get out until April 2026.
Drew Findling, Pooh Shiesty's attorney, talked to XXL about his client getting released early.
"I am elated that Pooh has been released after three years. The government fought hard to give him 10, but after listening to the case, the judge agreed with us that it was not appropriate and gave him a sentence that resulted in him serving three years. I know he will come back bigger than ever and definitely learned from this experience," Findling said.
"He is excited to start the next chapter of his story. I believe that everything happens for a reason, and I think that this is just the beginning of his second act," Findling added.
Rumors spread on January 12, 2026, that the rapper got arrested again in Dallas, Texas. This came three months after he left federal prison. Fans were shocked by the news because Pooh Shiesty had just started making music again.
Shiesty had put out new music a few weeks after he got out of prison. He dropped a track called FDO. The title stands for 'First Day Out.' The song talked about his return and mentioned other hip-hop artists. His fans paid attention to the arrest rumors because they wanted to see Pooh Shiesty succeed after prison. He had not only released FDO but had also started posting on social media again when the rumors emerged.
DJ Akademiks stepped in to clear things up. He said Pooh Shiesty's label told him the rapper wasn't in jail and that Shiesty was actually in home confinement.
"Pooh Shiesty record label reached out to me and confirmed that he is not in jail. Apparently his April date existed since his 'release' and he's on home confinement until April like he has been the whole time since his release," DJ Akademiks wrote on X.
