Hayden Panettiere and Michelle Trachtenberg were both child actors. They grew up in the spotlight as young actors in 2000s television and cinema. Fans are celebrating their achievement in the entertainment industry.

Panettiere played the role of Gennifer Harwood. Her character was the driven junior ice skating team captain and coach's daughter. Skip Panettiere, the father of Hayden, confirmed her death in a statement describing her as “an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her.” Her family has asked for privacy at this time.

Kim Cattrall portrayed the role of Tina Harwood, Gen’s mother and coach in the 2005 Disney film Ice Princess. She lives a quieter life focused on nature at her Vancouver Island home while occasionally taking selective roles in television and partnership projects. She has been married to her partner Russell Thomas since late 2025.

Trachtenberg was three years older than Hayden Panettiere, who died in February 2025. The medical examiner found that she died of natural causes due to diabetes after reviewing the lab tests. She starred as Casey Carlyle in Ice Princess, a smart high-school student and science whiz.

Joan Cusack played Casey’s mother, Joan Carlyle and continues to be active as an actor. She voiced Jessie again in Toy Story 5, her major film role in years after focusing on family life in Chicago with her husband and sons. After starring as Nikki Fletcher in Ice Princess, Kirsten Olson competed in figure skating and graduated from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. She has worked as Skating Programs Director for the City of Plymouth, Minnesota.

The film also starred Trevor Blumas, who played Teddy Harwood, Gen’s brother and Casey’s love interest. He has largely stepped away from acting after roles in the mid-2000s and now works behind the camera as a director and producer of music videos and shorts.
