The Pitt star Katherine LaNasa claimed that she saw her ex-husband Dennis Hopper's ghost multiple times after he passed away in 2010. The Emmy-winning actress met The Easy Rider star in the 1980s.
LaNasa met Hopper for the first time at producer's Doughlas S.Cramer's party, an encounter that changed her fate forever. In a candid chat with W Magazine, she recalled how they eventually fell in love and got married in 1989. She also shared that she had to move to Los Angeles to stay with her then-husband, Hopper, where she eventually met acting coach Sandy Mesiner at a PBS program.
The couple welcomed their son, Henry Lee Hopper, in 1990 before separating in 1992. Henry grew up in Los Angeles and formed a close bond with his father. Henry began acting at age 6 in the film Kiss and Tell and later appeared in projects like Restless, Forever Love, and Snapshot.
LaNasa went on to marry French Stewart in 1998, though they separated almost nine years later in 2009. She then married her current partner, Grant Show, in 2012, with whom she shares a daughter, Eloise.
Even though Katherine LaNasa divorced her late husband, Hopper, almost two decades before his death, she claimed that she could see/feel his ghost. Here's what she said about the eerie encounters.
A ghostly encounter: Katherine LaNasa claims she saw her late ex-husband Dennis Hopper

Speaking to W Magazine, Katherine LaNasa revealed that she believes in ghosts and shared her eerie encounters with late ex-husband Dennis Hopper's ghost. She said,
""I do believe in ghosts. The ghost of Dennis Hopper would not leave me alone for a really long time,"
She claimed that even though the pair was divorced for years by the time of Hopper's death, they still shared a unique bond,
"We've been divorced a very long time, but I was the last wife that he'd been with that he wasn't currently divorcing, so I think that level of intimacy when you're dying is maybe only something you can do with a partner?
One of the first scary encounters with Hopper's ghost happened during the Academy Awards, where she claimed that he was sitting in a wheelchair before he fell. The eerie moment felt so real that it had a physical effect on her. She claimed that whenever the ghost appeared, she pleaded to leave her alone, and he did eventually did so.
LaNasa, who plays Nurse Dan Evans in The Pitt, then added how those experiences mentally affected her. Feeling puzzled about the encounters, she decided to visit a gallery where she saw a photograph of Hopper. At that moment she felt that Hopper was finally letting her go.
However, that was not the last encounter. She dreamt of him where they were sitting in a cafeteria in Greece, and Hopper told her that he was okay and no longer in pain.
Katherine LaNasa's ex-husband, Dennis Hopper, passed away at the age of 74 after a prolonged battle with prostate cancer.
