“White folks will steal a dream”: ADHD TikToker Laurie Faulkner called out for plagiarizing content from Black neurodivergent TikToker

A Black neurodivergent TikToker who goes by @briannesaturdays is accusing white ADHD TikTok star Laurie Faulkner of “stealing” her content. In fact, she provided receipts to support her allegation.

Brianne shared her July 1 video where she says the phrase, “I need you to be quiet and overexplain it.” She then uploaded Faulkner’s clip from July 30 where the same words were used.

In another clip, Laurie was heard saying:

“Women with ADHD need their safe people to overexplain to, because there’s something in us that feels the need to tell you everything. I know you didn’t ask us to, but if we don’t explain every detail to you, we think that you think we’re lying.”

Turns out, Brianne had made a similar video before her where she said:

“Women with ADHD need their safe people to overexplain to, because there’s something in us that feels the need to tell you everything. But for some reason, if we don’t tell you everything, we feel like you think that we’re lying.”

@briannesaturdays is now calling out Laurie Faulkner for “real-life colonizer behavior” and described it as “unacceptable.” She further explained:

“Laurie and I happen to both work with the same brands because of course we’re both in the same niche, probably because she copies other ADHD creators; I don’t know, but I will be sending a copy of my video and her video to one of the brands that we both seem to have work with, because I think it’s important that they know that the creators that are representing their brand are stealing content from other creators. Stealing other people’s content is not okay.”

In the wake of the plagiarism accusation, social media users are calling out Laurie Faulkner. One Threads user @da_swagtastic_al_moore commented under @sipthesystem’s repost:

“White folk will steal a dream if they can get away with it.”

Many joined the conversation and shared similar reactions.

“I just saw this on TikTok… Shame, shame little girl,” a fellow user wrote.

“She stole her cadences and all. She straight studied her vibe and stole everything but her soul, and she would’ve stolen that had she had the ability to,” another netizen commented.

“She’s going to cry and start a GoFundMe. Recognize the grift,” an individual predicted.

Others continued to weigh in.

“Can they do anything creative on their own WITHOUT stealing from Black folks? Good f**kin grief,” one person stated.

“It must be instinctual for them to steal at this point,” another person commented.

“Let’s go follow @briannesaturdays & show her some love!!! I relate so much to her original video. She deserves to have WAY more followers on Threads & Instagram,” a fan added.

Laurie Faulkner has reportedly taken down her videos where she seemingly plagiarized Brianne’s content. However, it remains unconfirmed whether she took accountability or apologized for her actions.

All about Brianne Saturdays and Laurie Faulkner

Not much is known about Brianne Saturdays, except that she began her content-making journey in June 2026. Since then, she has earned 47,000 followers on TikTok, 20,100 on Instagram, and is just starting out on Threads. Brianne calls herself a blogger and her IG bio reads:

“Making women with ADHD feel seen.”

Following her recent video post about Laurie Faulkner, she gave a shoutout to ADHD confidence coach and talk show host Corinne Rose Guirgis, aka @corinnethecoach, for pointing out that her content was being used by another creator.

“Super thankful for @corinnethecoach making me aware of the video and giving me sound advice on how to handle it when my nervous system was in shambles. Forever thankful for this community!” Brianne wrote.

Meanwhile, Corinne, too, made a video about Laurie Faulkner and later commented underneath Saturdays’ post:

“She literally threw your video in AI to get a transcript and then said it word for word to camera. But you know what… girl you’ve only been creating since June and already viral and stolen!!! Let’s call a WIN A WIN! Must be doing SOMETHING right. To a MASSIVE future of content creation.”

Laurie Faulkner has yet to publicly address the allegation/ controversy. She has over 331,000 followers on Instagram and 185,200 on TikTok. Her bio states:

“ADHD girlie, trying to help you with yours.”

According to her LinkedIn, Faulkner is based in Wokingham, England, and is the owner of a children’s entertainment business called Prima Princess Parties. She is also a personal trainer and gym manager at RETRA Limited, a nutritionist, and an actress.

Laurie has a bachelor’s degree in musical theater from De Montfort University and a postgraduate certificate in education from University College London. She is a former Disneyland Paris performer.

According to gritdaily.com, Laurie Faulkner was diagnosed with ADHD by her drama school counselor when she was in her 20s. Since then, she has used edtech to help make neurodiversity education “more accessible” and closely works to raise awareness and help adults with dyslexia, ADHD, and other cognitive difficulties.

Over the years, Faulkner has worked with brands like BBC Bitesize, Speechify, and InFlow, among others. Most of her followers are based in the United States. As a result, she aims to partner with U.S. institutions to ensure that assistive technology is made a standard part of the curriculum in the country as well as worldwide. These include text-to-speech platforms, AI-driven study tools, and adaptive learning games.
