All we know about the paternal grandparents of Brooklyn Beckham

Despite his ongoing estrangement from his parents - David and Victoria Beckham, Brooklyn Beckham shares a positive dynamic with his grandparents. He has kept in touch with them privately by phone and text.

Insiders reported that he has been “very fond of his grandparents” despite his ongoing feud with his parents. They noted that his love for them has “never faltered.”

According to the reports in early December, Brooklyn Beckham’s grandmother, Sandra reached out to him through an Instagram post. When the 26 year old aspiring chef shared an Instagram video of himself wrapping a bottle of his Cloud23 hot sauce as a Christmas gift, she commented:

“That for me [confused face] [laughing face].”

Her comment hinted that she was hoping to see her grandson during the holidays. Her comment came after Brooklyn Beckham’s maternal grandmother, Jackie Admas made a similar gesture.

In June 2025, Brooklyn Beckham celebrated his grandma’s birthday in a heartfelt post shared on his Instagram. The post featured a throwback photo of him with her and was captioned:

“Happy birthday nanny xx love you so much.”

Reports stated that Brooklyn was raised by his grandparents Sandra and Jackie when he was a toddler and he adores them. A source told Page Six:

“Brooklyn absolutely adores them [his grandparents] and knows how much pain this is causing everyone. So he has reached out in his own time but tried to keep it low-key so as not to drag them into it.”

David Beckham was born to Sandra Georgina (née West) and David Edward Alan “Ted” Beckham. Sandra was a hairdresser in nursing homes and Ted worked as an Essex appliance repairman. They were both Manchester United fans and often traveled to Manchester to watch matches.

The couple tied the knot in 1969 in the London Borough of Hackney. They welcomed their daughter Lynne Georgina Beckham in 1972. They became parents to David Robert Joseph Beckham three years later and were blessed with their youngest child, Joanne Louise Beckham in 1982.

David Beckham has often spoken about his parents’ tireless efforts in the upbringing of him and his siblings. In an interview with The Father Hood, the former footballer said:

“When we were kids, he used to go out to work at six o’clock in the morning and often come home at nine o’clock at night.”

He then spoke about his mother who worked as a hairstylist, adding:

“My mum was the same – she used to work during the day and then in the evenings, once my sisters and I were in bed, she’d do hairdressing until 12 o’clock at night.”

Sandra and Ted Beckham divorced in 2002 after 33 years of their marriage. The reason behind their divorce has not been mentioned in the reports.
