Erin Krakow has welcomed her first child with her husband, Ben Rosenbaum. The couple who played Elizabeth Thatcher and Mike Hickam in When Calls the Heart secretly tied the knot last year in June.

The couple shared the exciting news of their baby girl in a statement to People magazine. It read:

“Our precious new family member entered the world in early April. Our daughter has been the greatest gift, and we are loving getting to know her better with each passing day.”

The couple shared with People magazine that they are cherishing their role as new parents and the new step has only deepened their bond. They met on the set of When Calls the Heart in 2014 and went public with their romance in February 2024.

Just like Erin, Ben is also an actor who is known for his roles in It Was Always You, American Horror Story and The Christmas Cup. He describes himself as “a good midwestern boy.”

Erin Krakow and Ben Rosenbaum are beaming with joy after becoming mom and dad to their Babygirl. The couple announced their pregnancy in late November 2025 and have now shared the news of the newborn's arrival.

They revealed the news exclusively to People magazine, describing their daughter as “the greatest gift” and saying they’re loving “getting to know her better with each passing day” while enjoying “cuddles and coffee.”

After meeting initially in 2014, Erin Krakow and Ben’s friendship evolved into a romantic relationship. In June 2025, the pair revealed that they had tied the knot. Their marriage was followed by their pregnancy announcement later that year.

Erin Krakow is an actor and producer who is currently 41 years old. Her husband is two years younger than her. Erin was born in Philadelphia and grew up in Wellington, Florida, with her parents, Morgan and Dr Elliott Krakow and brother, Kyle.

In comparison to Erin, Ben started acting at the very young age of six. He developed a passion for acting after watching a play at the Tony Award-winning Minneapolis Children’s Theatre Company with his parents. After completing his training, Ben graduated with a BFA in Actor Training from the University of Minnesota / Guthrie Theatre program. He has worked consistently in theatre and TV ever since.

The lovebirds currently reside in Los Angeles, California, with their dog, Willoughby. They adopted him in 2023. A year later, the couple celebrated “gotcha day” with their dog. Krakow shared a snap of a bone-shaped cake that read “Happy Gotcha Day.”

Interestingly, Erin and Ben are one of several real-life couples connected to When Calls the Heart. Kevin McGarry & Kayla Wallace met on the set in Season 6 and married in 2024 after dating for a few years. They welcomed their first child recently.

In another interview with the People magazine, Erin Krakow reflected on the real-life romances on When Calls the Heart and said:

“I think there's just always been a bit of magic in Hope Valley. There's something so special about our show and the energy in Jamestown [British Columbia, Canada], where we shoot.”

With their baby girl born in early April, the parents are enjoying the new stage of parenthood.
