Russian-American comedian, writer, and voice actor Eugene Mirman was injured in a burning car accident in Bedford, New Hampshire, on March 31. His representative told PEOPLE:“Eugene was in a very scary car accident. He wants to thank the bystanders, state police, first responders and hospital staff who saved him. He is grateful to be on the mend. At this time, we kindly ask for privacy for Eugene and his family as he focuses on recovering from his injuries.”Eugene Mirman, 51, is married to actress, writer, talent agent, and producer Therese Plaehn. He also has a ten-year-old son from his first marriage.The New Hampshire State Police shared in a press release that they responded to a “single-vehicle crash” into a toll plaza on the F.E. Everett Turnpike around noon on Tuesday, after a “veteran State Trooper assigned to NH Governor Kelly Ayotte’s security detail came upon the crash.”“[The individual] saw that the vehicle was actively on fire, and observed the driver was still inside. The driver was then pulled from the burning car through a window and brought to safety. Governor Ayotte, along with other witnesses at the scene, provided assistance to the Trooper,” the press release continued.Eugene Mirman was soon transported to a nearby hospital with “serious injuries.” The case is currently under investigation and no charges have been filed as of this writing.Here’s what we know about Eugene Mirman’s wifeIn June 2023, Eugene Mirman took to Instagram to announce that he remarried.
