Veteran actress Donna Mills, best known for playing Abby Cunningham on the CBS primetime soap opera Knots Landing, joined the adult content site OF earlier this week, telling Variety in a statement:

“I’ve always appreciated the incredible support and encouragement I’ve received from my fans over the years. Social media has been a wonderful way to stay connected, but I’m excited to join OnlyFans because it offers the opportunity for a more personal and direct connection.”

Mills, 85, continued:

“I will be sharing moments from my daily life, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and engaging with fans in a more meaningful way. It’s simply another platform to spend quality time with the people who’ve supported me throughout my career while staying true to who I am.”

Donna Mills has been in a long-term relationship with actor, producer, director, and acting coach, Larry Gilman, 76.

Her decision to join the subscription platform comes three months after she clapped back at critics for age-shaming her in an Instagram video. Donna launched an OF page in partnership with Creators INC. Its CEO, Andy Bachman, told Variety:

“This is not about changing who she is. It is about giving her longtime fans more access to the personality, style and behind-the-scenes moments they already love. Donna has always been fearless and ahead of her time. She told me, ‘YOLO — let’s do it,’ and that perfectly captures her attitude. She is approaching OnlyFans on her own terms and creating a space that feels authentic, personal and completely true to her.”

More about Donna Mills’ romance with Larry Gilman

According to IMDb, Larry Gilman was born in New York City in April 1950. In his early 20s, he worked as a part-time substitute teacher in the public school district of Rockville Center, New York.

In 1972, Larry made his onscreen debut on the TV series M*A*S*H. He later also appeared in the movies The Texas Rangers, Cool Runnings and Final Destination in 1981, 1993, and 2000, respectively. Gilman also had a cameo in the 2001 project Columbo: Murder with Too Many Notes.

Larry Gilman began dating Donna Mills in 2001. During a 2022 interview with AARP Magazine, the latter noted:

“I met Larry Gilman at age 60. I lucked out. Before him, I kind of went for the bad boys. But when I met him, I just knew I was going for the not-bad boy.”

Between 1979 and the late 1990s, Mills was in a lengthy and “turbulent” on-and-off romance with advertising executive and Chaka Khan’s ex-husband Richard Holland. She also briefly dated her Intimate Encounters co-star Clayton Norcross and was linked to actor Vic Vallaro and Hollywood executive Allen Adler.

Speaking with the Daily Mail in February 2023, Donna Mills explained why she never married Larry despite being in a stable two-decade-long relationship:

“I'm very independent. I've always made my own money and never had anyone support me… Why bother? So, we keep everything separate. We're not married, but it's like we are.”

The Secret Storm actress explained she preferred to leave things as they were and saw no point in getting married. She echoed similar sentiments to The Daily Beast in July 2022:

“I don't remember anyone ever getting down on one knee. I am so freaking independent. I just am. I'm very independent and by the time Larry and I met, we were both pretty established.”

The Soap Opera Digest Award winner further explained:

“To combine everything at that point is really difficult. So, we just combined our lives but not our finances and stuff like that. It’s much cleaner, much better… I've always felt a woman being independent was important. I want someone to be in my life to love and be with, to be a companion and to go places and all that... but if I have to, [I know] I can take care of myself.”

Donna Mills added that, although she is not married to Larry Gilman, she still “loves” him as much and described him as an “incredibly kind, funny, and wonderful man.”

The General Hospital alum also spoke highly of her long-time partner during a 2014 appearance on Oprah’s Where Are They Now? segment:

“The rich guys never appealed to me. Most women would say, 'What, are you crazy?' No, because they would have the power. And I want the power, you know? I'll be very honest about that… I finally found a man who allows me to have power and my space. [And] that doesn't take away from his [own] power.”

While promoting her 2023 Lifetime series Dawn in July of that year, Ms Mills sat down with CBS’ Sunday News and said she and her partner were farmers, calling the occupation “kind of fun.” Today, the Brentwood residents own and run a wine business called Mandeville Vineyards, based in Malibu. It was founded by Larry Gilman in 2013.

In 2022, Donna Mills joked with Spectrum News, saying that her boyfriend was “determined” to open a vineyard and that she had given him permission, but she said she wanted “nothing to do with it.” Before that, the former Playboy model told Closer Weekly in 2015:

“Larry planted a vineyard for me last year. He's really such a good guy.”

Donna Mills added that one of their “few” fights was over the vineyard.

“We have a big hill behind our house. Larry wanted to build a vineyard up there. And I was just like, no, you’re crazy, the vines will dislodge the hill. I was worried. It was one of the few fights we ever had. He didn’t listen to me, and it’s good he didn’t. The vines solidified the hill, and now we have our own commercial vineyard. And it is just beautiful.”

It is noteworthy that even before meeting Larry Gilman, the Broadway star spoke about her decision to never tie the knot. In a 1998 episode of Intimate Portrait on Lifetime, Donna Mills shared:

“That strange thing is, I never did dream about it. I used to love dolls and everything when I was a kid, but it was never a bride doll or the bride image.”

Stating that she never imagined herself as a bride/ wife, Donna Mills explained:

“My parents didn't have a particularly good relationship. I saw my [mother] when she was totally dependent on my father. That didn't make her happy. I bought into that. That's what I saw. I said, 'Okay, if I want to be really happy, I have to depend on me.'”

Donna Mills never married but became a mother when she adopted her newborn daughter Chloe in 1994.

Donna Mills is not the first actress to join OF recently. Jaime Presley did it a few weeks back and said:

“I’ve always believed in evolving with the times… This is another way for me to connect directly with my audience, on my own terms, with creativity and intention.”

In April, Shannon Elizabeth earned over $1.2 million in the first week of joining the adult site. Back then, she told PEOPLE that she was tired of other people controlling the “narrative and outcome” of her career and OF was a step away from it.
