Niamh O'Brien, the Irish dancer and wife of Michael Flatley, died at 52 after a period of illness. Announcing her death on Monday, Flatley wrote,“My heart is broken.”He described O’Brien as his “beautiful wife” and “best friend,” adding that his “gorgeous bride of twenty years” had gone to Heaven. A representative said O’Brien died peacefully at Dublin’s Beacon Hospital following an illness, according to the BBC on October 6, 2026.The family has asked for privacy as they cope with what the representative described as a heartbreaking loss.
