On Wednesday, Donald Trump attended a Republican midterm convention rally in Dallas, Texas, where he slammed Shawn McCreesh, the New York Times White House Correspondent who reported from the President’s rally in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, last month.Trump, 80, mentioned being in SC to support Lindsey Graham’s sister Darline Graham, who was running for the Senate, but said she was “behind in the polls” against a “very good politician” and fellow Republican, Ralph Norman. The POTUS continued:“I was pushing for her victory and I went to South Carolina. I gave a speech in a big room and it was packed… Because of that speech, she won the election quite nicely… It was standing room only; the people were packed, and then, on watching the Sunday shows last week, a creep from The New York Times said, I was in that room and there was very little enthusiasm. President Trump didn’t really want to be there. You could see it. The room was half empty... had nobody.”Donald Trump further claimed in Dallas that the back of the room in Myrtle Beach “made this one look empty.” He added that the place was “packed” with “thousands of people outside.”“And here’s the bottom line: because of that speech, she won. But I had to listen to a guy live from The New York Times. His name is Shawn McCreech, or something like that and he lied...” Trump stated.Shawn McCreesh has yet to respond to the allegations. However, he shared Trump's clip from the Dallas rally on his Instagram Stories and addressed the mispronunciation of his name by writing, "It's an Irish name, sir!"The reporter never spoke about the crowd size. Instead, he wrote an article on August 21 titled:“With Midterms Approaching, Trump Implores Republicans: Pretend I’m on the Ballot!”Nowhere in his article did McCreesh write about the crowd size at Trump’s SC rally. Instead, at one point he wrote:“The hundreds of people who waited in line on a Friday night in August to hear him speak were about the most Trump-loving crowd imaginable. People wore T-shirts with pictures of his bloodied face, and vintage MAGA merch from his early campaigns.
