According to a recent article by People Magazine, renowned comedian Wayne Brady opened up about how his life has changed since he publicly admitted that he is pansexual.

During a conversation with People Magazine at the People in 10, Brady revealed that his life is lighter and happier ever since he has publicly embraced his authentic self.

Before coming out, Wayne was married to Mandie Taketa in 1999. The two got divorced in 2007. Even after the divorce, Mandie and Wayne remain best friends and share a 19-year-old daughter together named Maile Masako Brady. The couple also shares a production company.

“From the ages of 26 to 36, my mind was completely in the building phase of ‘I’ve got to blow up. I have to do this work. I have to get my name out there because that’s the way that I can make a foundation for my family," Brady said during an interview.

As per reports, Brady is still good friends with his ex-wife, Mandie.

Wayne Brady married Mandie in 1999, and the two separated in 2007.

She hails from Kaneohe, Hawaii, and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of acting and dancing. Mandie committed to promoting her worth in the industry after learning that her first Hollywood job would leave her as an uncredited producer.

Mandie and Wayne co-founded A Wayne & Mandie Creative, which is a production company.

Together with Brady, she is co-creator and executive producer of the new documentary series Wayne Brady: The Family Remix, which will debut on Freeform this summer and be available on Hulu the following day. The program will come next.

As a co-founder of the business, Taketa was instrumental in the creation of the Wayne Brady Makin' It Up Australian Tour DVD special and the Wayne Brady Makin' Shit Up Las Vegas Residency at The Venetian. Taketa also co-created and executive-produced the 2021 BYU TV series Comedy IQ.

Taketa also directed and co-produced the Little Richard tribute at the BET Awards in 2020. She also co-produced humorous portions and Brady's opening number in 2022. Wayne Brady on coming out as pansexual

Comedian Wayne Brady came out in 2023 as pansexual. He said during a recent interview that his life changed for the better ever since.

Brady, 53, said, "It hasn't changed in the big sense of, 'Oh I'm out dating and whatnot,' because really, I'm kind of [keeping] to myself."

In August 2023, the Let's Make a Deal presenter spoke to People about his journey of discovering himself. At the time, he declared that he was pansexual. The term "pansexual" means he is drawn to people of any gender or sex.

"Bisexual — with an open mind!" Brady told the publication.
"Pan means being able to be attracted to anyone who identifies as gay, straight, bi, transsexual, or non-binary," Brady clarified, having the ability to be drawn to everyone.

Brady continued by saying that he started focusing on his mental health when fellow performer Robin Williams passed away in 2014.
