Woman shows up at S.W.A.T. star Shemar Moore's home after alleged catfishing scam, prompting police response

Shemar Moore is in the headlines after a woman showed up at his Los Angeles home with luggage, leading to a police response. According to TMZ, police responded to the home at around 3:30 p.m. on July 31.

As per the reports, after arriving at the S.W.A.T. star Shemar Moore's home located in Los Angeles, she first came face-to-face with Jesiree Dizon. Dizon, after the woman's visit, called the authorities to look into the same.

She was questioned by the authorities and alleged that someone posing as Shemar Moore had catfished her and told her she could live with him, the reason why she arrived at his home with luggage. The woman was not arrested and was allowed to leave, with the authorities filing a trespassing report.

What led a woman to S.W.A.T. star Shemar Moore's home?

Shemar Moore is a well-known actor famous for playing the role of Sergeant Daniel 'Hondo' Harrelson in S.W.A.T. Additionally, the fifty-six-year-old is also famous for appearing in Criminal Minds, The Young and The Restless, Diary of a Mad Black Woman, and The Brothers. With a reported net worth of $16 million, Moore has made his name in the industry with his talent.

On July 31, a woman arrived at his Los Angeles home with luggage, which led to police response after Jesiree Dizon opened the door and called the authorities. According to reports, the woman allegedly believed she had been communicating with the S.W.A.T actor Shemar Moore after someone impersonated the actor and told her she could move in with him. After believing the claims, she decided to travel to his home from another state with her luggage to move in with him.

The actor remains active on social media and recently congratulated the Vegas High Rollers in his Instagram Stories. However, he has not publicly commented on the incident as of now. Additionally, the woman's identity has not been revealed, and it is also unclear how long the alleged catfishing scam had been going on, with very limited details available as of now.

In October 2024, Moore also gave People a tour of his Los Angeles home, calling it his "safe space" where he is raising his daughter, Frankie. Moore also called it the "fruits of my labor," adding that it is a place he is proud of.

However, this is not the first reported case involving someone allegedly impersonating Moore. As per the reports, last year, a woman named Dana Kiner was allegedly scammed by someone who impersonated Moore. The impersonator reportedly persuaded her to send money and gift cards. As reported by Complex, Kiner said that she was looking for love, believed the promise of marriage, and later realized she had been scammed.

Shemar Moore and Jesiree Dizon reportedly ended their relationship in January 2025. In a post shared by Dizon last year in February, she shared that although their romantic relationship had ended, she and Moore still had love and respect for each other and would continue to co-parent their daughter, Frankie.
