Elon Musk and Reid Hoffman are arguing online after old emails related to Epstein Island were released. The Department of Justice released new files related to the Epstein case on Friday, naming many powerful people.
Soon after the release, Elon Musk uploaded a tweet mentioning Reid Hoffman, the co-founder of LinkedIn, claiming he went to Epstein Island, adding that Epstein used Hoffman's visit to push him to go as well.
Reid Hoffman uploaded a tweet after Elon's tweet, calling him out for lying to the people. In his tweet, Reid wrote:
"Give us a break: If you cared about the victims as you say, you’d stop making false accusations to cover your ass and start using your $220m of influence with President Trump to get justice for the victims. Instead, you’re focused on comparing my visit fundraising for MIT to your begging to go to his island (which happened TWO YEARS before the screenshot you shared), and helicoptering over to Epstein looking for the “wildest party."
He continued:
"You lied about this to everyone for over a decade, and now your excuse (it’s disgusting, by the way) is that you could get young girls without Epstein?"
Reid Hoffman and Elon Musk call each other out on social media
Reid's replies came after Elon Musk uploaded a tweet on X, stating:
"This is how I knew so long ago that Reid Hoffman went to Epstein’s island. Epstein used Reid being there to try to get me to go, not realizing that it would have the opposite effect 😂"
He also shared a photo of an email sent by Jeffrey Epstein to Elon Musk twelve years ago. In the email, Epstein claimed Reid had been on his island and asked Elon if he would be there for Christmas or the New Year.
Soon after, Musk shared another tweet where he wrote:
"Nobody has fought harder for full release of the Epstein files and prosecutions of those who abused children more than I did, knowing full well that the legacy media, far-left propagandists and those who are actually guilty would: 1. Admit nothing 2. Deny everything 3. Make counter-accusations against me"
He added that he knew he would be criticized for the same, even though he claimed that there was no involvement of his in the Epstein parties, nor did he even go to his plane or island. Elon added that, in the end, facing these false accusations was worth it to show the truth about himself.
He ended his tweet by saying that he is ready to take any future pain to help children grow up safely and happily.
As of now, Elon Musk has not replied to Reid Hoffman.
