They also rescued a ship full of captive animal and child test subjects, leading to the peaceful disbanding of the original Guardians of the Galaxy. Peter left the team and returned to Earth in Missouri to reunite with his grandfather, Jason Quill. Thus, Peter is still alive, and may potentially return to Marvel. But since Chris Pratt hasn't been confirmed to be in the cast of Doomsday or Secret Wars, fans couldn't be sure whether they'd see him in a Marvel project soon again. However, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3's end credits did promise the return of Star-Lord. That promise might just get fulfilled soon.As Deadline reports, on The Playlist's podcast, The Bingeworthy, Chris Pratt talked about his Marvel future. Talking about the promise of his character's return, Pratt said:“I have a great relationship with Kevin [Feige] and Lou [D’Esposito], and there have been both ongoing conversations about how we make good on that promise and also hard action taken to make sure that we make good on that promise."He then said:"...You'll see Star-Lord again."Pratt added:"...which is very exciting, but I’m not at liberty to say when that’s going to be, but he’s not going anywhere.”It is slightly unlikely that Pratt is going to appear in Doomsday since neither he nor his character have been seen in any trailer or any other promotional media. However, we can never eliminate the possibility of Marvel surprising us with a completely unexpected cameo.Since Pratt refrained from providing a time frame of when to expect Star-Lord's return, he might be appearing in Avengers: Secret Wars.
