General Hospital is filled with murder, mayhem, and plenty of attorneys trying cases. The primetime ABC drama How to Get Away With Murder ties in with some of the same dark themes that we see in GH. In the series, criminal defense attorney and law professor Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) chooses five first-year students to intern at her firm. Here are five GH actors who appeared in HTGAWM.
Adrian Anchondo

We saw the last of GH's Marco (Adrian Anchondo) when Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) stabbed him to death in his office. It's amazing how, just in the past couple of years, nearly everyone in Marco's family has been taken off the GH canvas. His sister, Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez), left PC to go on tour to advance her singing career. His mother, Natalia (Eva LaRue), died after she overdosed on alcohol and pills. Marco was killed, and most recently, his father, Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), was sent to Pentonville. However, viewers are still seeing Jenz, as the action has shifted to prison, where it has been in the past! Might Marco's dad somehow get out of the big house someday?
In a season three episode of HTGAWM, Anchondo plays a man who accuses someone of assaulting him in a bar. He testifies to this in court, which is a significant scene that adds to the drama of the episode.
Joseph C. Phillips

Actor Joseph C. Phillips played Edward Quartermaine's (the late John Ingle) grandson, Justus Ward, from 1994 to 1998. Justus' grandmother was Mary Mae Ward (the late Rosalind Cash), a woman with whom Edward had an extramarital affair. Justus was a lawyer, ELQ board member, and city councilman who was murdered by one of Sonny's (Maurice Benard) enemies, Manny Ruiz (Robert LaSardo), in 2006.
Phillips appeared in an episode of HTGAWM in a season six episode titled "He's Watching," which was the season finale episode. He plays Alvin Cox, a character who becomes instrumental in the events that lead to the season's conclusion.
Bonnie Burroughs

When we last saw GH's Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs), Sonny thankfully ran her out of PC after finding out that she had her own daughter-in-law, Sasha (Sofia Mattsson), drugged and committed to Ferncliff, and that she stole money from Sasha. Just as Gladys stole from Sasha, Burroughs stole many scenes (in a good way!) with her interpretation of the unpredictable Gladys!
Burroughs appeared in a season one episode of HTGAWM entitled "He Deserved To Die," in which she plays Miranda Stangard, a grieving mother whose daughter was murdered. That murder mystery was a major storyline in the first season.
Donnell Turner

GH's Curtis (Donnell Turner) is in prison right now, and he's likely going to be confronted with all kinds of problems, which could make for some great drama. Will Sidwell dream up ways to make trouble for him, which will then make it difficult for Curtis to be released in two years? It feels like the storyline is going in that direction.
Coincidentally, Donnell appeared in the same HTGAWM episode as Burroughs, but his character is a minor one who is only described as "Handsome Man."
James Patrick Stuart

Will GH's Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) be the one to save Anna (Finola Hughes) from her inner demons, namely her hallucinations of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) that are telling her to eliminate Britt (Kelly Thiebaud)? Or will Valentin possibly team up with Sonny (Maurice Benard) or Jason (Steve Burton) to help Anna?
Stuart appeared in a season two episode of HTGAWM titled "It's Called the Octopus." He plays a prosecuting attorney who is trying a case against Annalise and her students.
